2025 EB has less power? Why?

I read the 25s with the ecoboost engine has lower hp than the earlier models. Why?

It is my understanding this lower HP rating will be because they are adding an additional Pollution control filter. This will not take place until "JOB 3" estimated to start in June. If you get job 1 or 2, this will not affect your vehicle.

Well. I watch a guy on YouTube and according to him is the same power, because is the same engine including the filter than the bronco sport and the bronco have the same power, he also said that ford correct itself and said is the same power.

Take it with a grain of salt.

I doubt anyone could feel the 12 hp loss IF it were true. Especially since the torque numbers are almost the same.
Who drives at wide open throttle anyway ?

The GPF will only be on for the states following the California rules--West Coast states, New England states, Minnesota, and Colorado. And since few Mavs will ever try to develope 250 hp (5500 rpm needed) unless you're drag racing, you'll never notice it other than slightly lower mpg.

And I just watched a video, which I now cannot find, where an owner of a 2025 Maverick 2.0 EcoBoost had it jacked up and showed that there is no GPF in the exhaust system.
Job 3 will most likely have them. And @fordvideoguy stated that.

something called gpf or something. I saw it mentioned, cant say I educated myself bc I have hybrid. its on the ehxuast
