I looked up a few of these on Fords tracking site. I would bet none of these are on the lot yet. And the few that I did sample were customer orders with a green window sticker.
Not many dealerships in Michigan do markups since there are literally Ford dealerships in every town here so some counties have 3 or 4 of em with 500-1500 car lots.
That quantity looks like a fleet order. I've followed up with several dealers that had many Mavericks for sale on their web site. Most were fleet orders.
Dealers use a similar web template from Ford. In this template "for sale" includes customer orders and fleet orders in transit. It's very misleading.
I wouldn't believe any of these are on the lot and available for sale unless validated with the dealer.
It's usually on the lot if you see actual photos on the lot (you can easily tell) - not the computer generated stuff. The day may come when there are discounted Mavericks on dealer lots all over the USA. That day is not today. Maybe soon, maybe not, but not today.
The car sites get paid for clicks that refer to dealers. The dealers want your contact whether they have a car for you or not. Nobody in the system has any incentive to avoid misleading you.
I drove through one of our local dealers the other day. They show around 15 2024 models as "In Transit" online but they legit had 13 2023s sitting on the lot, some at MSRP and some with $2-4k markups.
I would not expect to see any 24's on the lot unless someone walked away from an order. I did see where our dealer has 4 incoming with blue stickers but they are all white XL AWD at exactly the same price. I wonder if these are fleet as well.
