Hey Jeff!

Congratulations on getting your Maverick! Now that you have it, perhaps one of the first mods is to add a Maverick Truck Club decal so you can properly “represent.”

See details at Maverick Truck Club Decal (Transfer) ($6 delivered)

Congrats again on getting your Mav and thanks for considering.

Hello and welcome to MTC. Congratulations on your new Maverick.
Thanks. Initial impression is just what I wanted. Yes I know that 39,000 for a maverick may seem steep. it is a lariat with moon roof which is not something is really needed. Ride home was very smooth and the lane centering worked well, although it seemed a bit strange to have it steer itself. Looking forward to the first 1000 miles and reporting back. It is getting ceramic coating and other add ones through the dealer.

Also have a 24 Lariat EB as well and notice one thing about lane centering. Can you let me know if yours does the same? My Escape did not do this. When I 1st turn on cruise (I have lane centering on too), the truck seems to want to hug the right side of the lane... However, as I drive it seems to correct itself after a few miles. Any insight from others before I bring it in for its 1st oil change appointment mid-month. Will be doing a long trip over Xmas.

Beautiful truck, but I noticed that on your 2024 truck besides not having the keypad, they also stopped painting the mirror caps the same color of the truck.

welcome and congrats.

it sounds like this might be your first Ford with adaptive cruise control. several years ago, my maverick was also that for me.

the biggest thing to watch for when using ACC is that while the truck is watching both lane edges, it prefers to follow the right. this can be an issue when a turning lane or off-ramp lacks the proper lane markings. they are supposed to have tight-spaced white dotted lines. when they don't, the ACC will often try to swerve right to follow the outside solid white line. it can be disconcerting when you first experience it and if you have family driving on the highway, make sure they know about this nuance as well.

Thanks for the advice. I’ll look for it as I experiment with it.

Not had the swerve to the right with the missing lines just yet on my Maverick, yet (only had a couple of months). Was a common issue with my 2020 Escape Titanium...

I have not noticed it wanting to pull to the right. But both my wife and I don’t really like how it handles curves at speeds of like 65 and above. We were on the interstate 90 going up to lookout pass and the way it handled the curves Was unsettling. Straightaways and gentle curves just smooth as butter.

"handles curves at speeds of like 65 and above". Remember it's still a pickup.
