I did read some older posts here about this issue. Surely FoMoCo is going to fix it. I mean no other car today is sold with a main screen thats 40-50% dimmer than every other one they sell. I'm not ready to take it to the dealer and have them tell me everything is fine.

Has anyone here (looking at you Ford social media person), heard any updates on this issue? I plan on making a video about it soon. Thanks in advance

I have a XLT, screen plenty bright. Check your display settings under brightness. Just a thought. Good luck

I've cranked the brightness all the way up, zero change. How do I reboot it? Didn't know that was an option. Thanks for the swift replies.

My 2022 XLT is dim too . The settings are all on max brightness . I have a friend with the 2023 Lariat
with the upgraded sound system . His is so bright he has to turn it down . Much different and better . I wish they had more attention to detail . It’s annoying

What has your dealer said about it?

Yup, it's a crappy screen. The Maverick (with exceptions) Is a bottom of the parts bin vehicle, so that's kind of expected. Anyone who has test driven a Santa Cruz, with a bright, high resolution, large screen and modern software immediately sees the difference.

The crappy screen goes along with the crappy infotainment and the crappy rear camera. It's kind of the old saying "you get what you pay for". In the Maverick's case, I get that there is a lot of cheap stuff on the truck.

But I'm also blown away at how much engine I got for my money with the ecoboost. I'm wagering larger and better screen and infotainment with a 25 or 26 refresh, with a price increase to match. Just a guess. Based on sales, the Ford engineers seem to have done a really good of balancing cheap where most people don't care (read the posts that will surely follow) and spending money where they do care.

Because you have Lariat Luxury Pkg with Sync 3, all the complaints are with the base system. 😉

2023 XLT here. Agree it’s pretty dim even at full brightness. I put a tempered glass protector on it which made it even more dim. I wouldn’t say it is unusable though just dim.

Thanks, I'll take it to the dealer soon. I understand cheap parts, but the screen is defective. For comparison, look at the photos of XLTs screen shots on Ford website, all have bright screens, none are dim.

I have a base Lariat so no luxury package or sync 3 and my brightness is fine. That said yesterday my screen went completely dark and I had to do a soft reset to get it back.
