There is a well know saying in the auto industry and by most mechanics that:

“You should NEVER buy the first year of a new vehicle.”

Knowing what we know now of the various manufacturing, recalls, and delays in parts,

Is the impending rollover of unfulfilled orders into the 2023 model year a blessing in disguise?
That's not true anymore. Especially with their shared parts. This is my 3rd first production vehicle. Never had an issue.

I did not want to be the first x thousand vehicles. So waited to Oct to order. Thought I would have it by now. My guess is the assembly team members have a good idea on assembly by now.

Oh, wow. You nailed it. I think this is a lot of peoples emotional journey through this whole process!
That's my story too. I am at the point where I don't really care if I get it or not. And I know the dealer will be more than happy to retail it to someone else over sticker

One thing is for sure, I will not keep a 22 Maverick that was ordered in 21 but not delivered to me until 23. I'll immediately sell it for profit and buy something else or get back in line for 23s. Year model makes a difference when it comes to selling a used vehicle.
