I took my 23 Maverick into my dealer for oil/tire/updates etc. This was the second service check, I'm old school, 5000 mile oil changes. The vehicle has 10,000 miles at 10 months. I also asked, off the cuff, to check the alignment-who ever heard of a wheel alignment at 10,000 miles-but I asked anyway. Everything was good, even the updates were caught up. BUT-BUT. The Tech sat down with me. Bad news. Both rear wheels were out of alignment. Their equipment-Hunter Auto Motive Machines-would not allow the Tech to align the wheels because the machine was only updated to 2022. The computer flashed a notice telling him the equipment was not programed for a 2023 MAVERICK. He suggested calling around to other Ford Dealers, and asked if their equipment was updated to 2023. So I called around to 5 dealerships. Not a one knew if their machines were updated. One Tech asked me what I hit on the road(nothing)to cause the misalignment and to be more careful driving down the road-not really answering my update question. I did some research on the HUNTER Websites. they were newsy. I found out who the local tech rep is for the area. I messaged him with this story. I have not heard back.
BUT- if you are wondering why I'm telling you all this-the warranty for alignments on 2023 Maverick's is 12,000 miles/12 months. Folks using the 7,500 oil change formula would have gone over the warranty on their second service check and would not be covered. At least I still have a 2 thousand mile/2 month buffer to find an updated machine.

Wouldn't it just be the same as a '22? I don't think anything has changed.

Also, about as expected for the warranty. Not surprising honestly. Sad, but not surprising.

Thank you for sharing. I was going to rotate my tires myself this month but I think I'll just take it in and have the alignment checked along with the wheel balance since the techs at Discount did such an awful job on the initial balance. It was way off. And like you, the closest place to me is, well, not close... so it's either save some money on the wheels/tires or spend the extra somewhere like Les Schwab for their in house brand stuff. Never had a problem before these KO2's but they are the stiffest non E-rated tires I've ever had. When it's cold the truck feels like it's a young Forrest Gump with walking with braces on his legs.

So how did the "tech" know it was out of alignment if his machine wasn't updated?? Lmao
Specs aren't gonna be any different from 22.
And is there even any adjustments can be done in the rear on the twist beam type suspension?

For what it's worth, and comfort to new owners, I got BBS wheels installed by Tire Rack on my 2022 XL after a year and 3,500 miles. The installment included spin balancing. So, I decided to take it to NTW for an alignment. When he was finished, I ask the technician about the alignment, and he said that it was only out a very little. Again, FWIW.

This is a joke right? No one can honestly believe there is a difference in a 22 and 23. I wouldn't want that tech working on my vehicle.
