Bought my Maverick (used) about 6 weeks ago. Purchased at a Ford dealer in north Texas 250 miles from home and drove it home. I won't name the dealer, as I CANNOT recommend them. Love the Maverick so far, except for.....

1. It only came with one remote. When I questioned the salesperson, he guessed that it must have been traded in with only one key. I contacted the parts manager of the dealership, it was going to cost me $330. I passed, thinking I could get a remote and have it programmed by a locksmith. (I've done it before). I was referred to the only locksmith in my area who said he could supply remote and programming for $260. Ok. Then called me a week later to say Ford has not released the software in order to program the remote. I did set up Fordpass so I can remote lock and unlock with my phone, and remote start (which I cannot with the remote I was given).
I'm just looking for suggestions as to what I can do to get a second remote. I'm guessing one suggestion would be PAY THE $330!

2. I am wanting to program the key pad on the out side driver side to lock and unlock. Manual says the factory setting to initiate programming is in the glove box. It isn't there (used car). Called salesperson at dealership two days in a row. No return call. I'm guessing he has ghosted me, maybe because I gave the dealership some 4 "stars" instead of 5 "stars". Called the Service manager and left a message...no return call. Again, just looking for suggestions.

thanks

If you don't have the card with the factory code, which cannot be changed, then you need two programed keys to get the code to show on the driver information panel. I do not recall the procedure off hand, it's in the user manual.

The keypad master code is located on the fuse panel box under the glove box. Your manual can help with putting in the codes you prefer to use. Good luck with your Mav!

You are exactly right. Found code and put my code in the keypad. Thank you very much. Pretty much sucks that the dealership couldn't have told me that. Thanks for this forum !!!
