I have a 2022 hybrid Maverick with only 13k miles. It developed a pretty significant rattle / clunking sound when going over bumps in the road, even small bumps. Fast or slow doesn't matter. I think it is coming from the front drivers side but it is hard to tell.

Is there a common issue that I should look for?

I agree could be anything even after tire rotation lug nuts are loose. So many possibilities, but lug nuts would be my first check than if not take it in and find out. Most tire stores ask to come back after to check on lug nuts.

I should have mentioned that I have experienced the fairly violent shaking on accelerating uphill a few times which I believe is a CV axle thing but I haven't felt that in months.

Obviously I don't drive it much though as it only has 13k miles in 4 years.

There is a customer satisfaction program for 22 Mavericks (Hybrid and EB) that covers the CV axles, just take it into a dealership and get them replaced. It's very common for them to go early in life. Mine (also a 22) started to go with less than 15k miles on them.

As you are probably aware , if it is the axles they will be replaced for free ....

I wasn't aware. I knew there was an issue with them. I also know that mine has like 8 or 10 recalls that were never done.

The vehicle is in Germany but I am taking it to the states soon. I will wait until I get to the states to see if I can get a dealer to look at the axles.

Thanks!
