I am not sure if or when Ford will work out a recall for this issue, but my truck started shaking in the front at 35,500 only when I accelerated or went up a hill (which is frequently in WV). I took it in to get in checked out, suspecting it is the CV Axel and they confirmed that is the issue and the truck is unsafe to drive.
Mountaineer Ford in Beckley, WV was able to expedite the parts for delivery yesterday and the truck should be ready to pick up around noon today. The service has been amazing there and they made sure I am ready for a trip I have to make in the next couple of days.
I asked them about recalls on this issue and my service tech said it all goes into the Ford system, so hopefully they will look at this closer and find solutions before there is a catastrophe.
I appreciate this forum because it helped me identify the issue and get my truck in for service before my CV Axel failed.
Thanks!
