Here in the North it is common to flip wipers away from windshield during snow and ice events. But Mav doesn't clear hood when all the way down, so you turn key off when blades are in up position. Problem one, if you turn key on next morning before lowering blades, they instantly cycle down and scrape paint off back edge of hood. Bummer!
Second, when valley for wiper storage gets filled with snow and ice, the wipers don't go down all the way and as ice/snow builds up the wipers don't go down enough to reset the wiper brains and then wipers don't work at all. Not sure if this is a overtorque to save the wiper motor that has circuit breaker, as I had to have wife climb out the window onto the hood and clear out ice. No I didn't get a video.
