Windshield Wiper Question

My 2015 Ford Edge has a weird criss-cross wiper arrangement.
The blades would collide sometimes and I thought they were going to tear themselves off the car.
The Ford dealer tried shorter blades but that didn't work any better.

The solution was the stock size, most expensive Rain-X blades from Walmart.
They last at least two years with no issues for me.
When the Maverick needs new blades I'll go with Rain-X.

Hi all, I just bought a new set of wiper blades for my 22 XLT. According to the Rain X catalog the driver side is 22 inch and the passenger is 21 inch. I pulled the driver side and compared it to the Rain X blade I purchased, there was a one inch difference. The original blade is 23 inches but the catalog spec's it as 22 inch.

Do I really have a UNICORN when it comes to wiper blades? Could someone check their drivers side and tell me the length of the blade from end to end?

BTW the passenger is 21 inch like the catalog says (and that is the noisy one when using the delay setting)

i have 2200 miles on maverick 23 and wipers have loud chatter when water is on the window.
but no chatter when window is dry.
Did the rain x blade have a push button that comes with the motorcraft blades for easy installment?
Where did you purchase yours.
I went to rain x webcite, input the info for type of auto and only 3 different type of trucks come up. Maverick not mentioned.

Honestly, I have not replaced them yet. They are in my garage, as I am waiting until I can't stand the chatter (on intermittent) any longer. The ones I bought are from Autozone and they are Rain-X. They have a unique way of attaching. There are some goo videos on youTube that explain how to properly change the blades. Make sure you follow the instructions on how to get the wipers to stop in the vertical position. DONT PULL THEM UP (you will scratch the paint on hood) , or force them to the vertical postion (you can damage the wiper motor)
