Warranty is good since Ford did it and they are a Rough Country dealer
The reality is that particular dealer would probably lie to Ford corporate when they write the service ticket for warranty claim and leave off the fact they put a non Ford authorized lift on it.

Owner, service depth guy & body shop manager all said anything over 2" will void a warranty

That is a pretty specific number, any Ford documentation showing that?

I am not trying to break your stones on this but I doubt any hearsay if mentioned of what they told you and bringing it to another dealership and getting pushback for the lift will get you anything trying to submit a warranty claim for busted CV axles.

Words are cheap and if they did not put anything in writing, memories can fade and/or with employee churn, the same people might not be there to make good on that.

Before anybody goes all "Blah, Blah, Magnuson Moss Warranty Act" stating they have to prove a mod or accessory caused an issue, it is not that simple and the FTC is not going to parachute lawyers in on one's behalf. It just gives you recourse to bring a Federal Civil Lawsuit on your dime to enforce it plus really is more for aftermarket replacement parts and not mod parts.

I am not against anybody modifying their vehicle, just that there is risks that need to be understood and in this case, any "warranty" is very narrow and specific to one dealership and a few people at the dealership standing behind it should it come to fruition.

Here is what Ai came up with 👇👇🤷‍♂️

The short answer is no, a Ford dealer cannot give you a Ford factory warranty on aftermarket Rough Country parts, even if that dealership installs them for you.

However, many Ford dealerships will gladly install Rough Country lifts, and you don’t totally lose your coverage. Here is exactly how the warranty works when you have a dealer do the install:

1. The "Magnuson-Moss Act" Protects Your Main Parts
Your entire factory bumper-to-bumper warranty is never completely voided by a lift. By law, Ford can only deny a warranty claim if they can prove the aftermarket lift directly caused a specific part to fail.

  • Still Covered by Ford: If your hybrid engine component, sync screen, or power windows fail, Ford still covers it under your factory warranty.
  • Not Covered by Ford: If your CV axles, factory struts, or ball joints wear out prematurely or fail, Ford will deny the claim and blame the lift.
2. Rough Country "Warranty Guard" Steps In
Because Ford won't cover suspension or drivetrain failures caused by a lift, Rough Country includes a free program called Warranty Guard on their kits.

  • If a Ford dealer denies a warranty repair on a factory part (like a CV axle) because of the lift kit, Rough Country will foot the bill for the repair at a factory-authorized shop (minus a $100 deductible).
  • This protection lasts up to 5 years or 60,000 to 100,000 miles (depending on the specific kit terms) or until your factory warranty expires.
3. Finding a Dealer to Do It
Not every local Ford dealer will install aftermarket lifts, but many do—especially those with dedicated custom/off-road departments (often branded as part of a dealership's custom truck center).

If you want 100% genuine Ford warranty coverage on a lifted setup, your only option is to look into the official Ford Performance Lift Kits (which are usually re-boxed kits from brands like Bilstein or Fox). When installed by a Ford dealer, those specific kits carry an official Ford Performance 3-year/36,000-mile warranty that integrates seamlessly with your truck.

I think this is the route I'd take. It would give me peace of mind.

But I wonder if a lift on a Maverick hybrid with 4k tow would affect the towing abilities?
(sorry if this is a strange question, I know very little about automotive tech)
