Fuel pump but sounds kinda high pitch. Noisier than mine. May just be the way the microphone is picking up the sound......

Not sure if you figured out the sound but i had a similar sound on my wife’s Explorer. It only happened on cold starts. It ended up being the exhaust. Can’t remember the name but its this mesh looking part. I’ve included a pic that i saw when watching an underbody video of a Maverick someone posted on YouTube.

Sounds normal to me and yes the noise is loud on all the 2.0L.....not like the earier 2.0L engines from 2013 on that had a different fuel system. I thought mine had an issue at first until I read up on the fuel pump noise on the new Ford engines. I did install a thick foam type Nautilis 2.0L cover on mine just to keep the engine a little cleaner and I suspect it did quiet it a hair but not much. I really don't hear it sitting inside the vehicle so it doesn't bother me anymore. The noise is fairly consistent and if you hear additional random metallic tin noises I would pull the underneath cover and just check to verify no shields are rattling. That happened on my 2.0L. Escape after quit a few years of wear..easy fix.
