"CV axles which seems to be an overwhelmingly Hybrid issue" Has Ford said anything about this like..a recall or anything?

Venza is great handlingI have XLT with basic infotainment system.
I added a wireless CarPlay adapter.
My phone connects and plays music and shows maps VERY quickly. Way faster than Wife's 2021 Toyota Venza that is mid-way to a luxury vehicle.
My maps are showing usually before I have my seatbelt on and truck into drive. The more expensive Venza takes 2-3 minutes for phone to connect to the head unit.
I find the Maverick amazing by comparison.
FWIW Venza is also a 2.5 liter 4 cylinder hybrid rates as 176 HP and is AWD.
Heavier vehicle, but more aerodynamic vehicle. Amazingly similar to Hybrid Maverick and we get exactly, and I mean exactly to the tenth (47.5) MPG week over week in both vehicles.
Venza is slightly better at high speeds.
Maverick is slightly better at slow speeds. In a mix, they are dead-on identical for MPG.

There are lots of things that could have been better, however, at the price point of the truck, you ain't going to get them. THAT is what people need to remember.I would like a bigger screen all together, to be honest the screen and it's real-estate could easily be bigger if it would occupy the space for the useless pocket to the right. Then I could use the split screen a lot easier. The cost for OEM (Ford or any other manufacturer is not that much per screen for 2 - 3 inches bigger).
It’s not that inexpensive when you’re adding in all the premium extras. It is not unreasonable to expect the things that you paid extra for to work.Dang folks, it is an inexpensive truck designed for good mileage, a pleasant ride and a weekly trip to the dump. For under $22k. Forget about the glitches and desires for upgrades. Go for a full blown F-150.
I am sick of reading " it's a cheap truck under $22k." I ordered xlt lux hybrid and it is $33k, going to be $36k out the door. Any new vehicle should not be plagued with these issues. It is all a matter of perspective, I suppose. Compared to the 2011 Ranger XLT that I was driving, the Maverick Lariat feels like a luxury vehicle. It handles MUCH better, rides smoother, accelerates faster, is a lot more comfortable, has almost twice the gas mileage, and in general feels like a solid vehicle. I absolutely love the Co-Pilot 360, ACC and auto-steering when on the highway, and I feel much less tired on longer trips. Overall, it is just an awesome truck.Compared to our Explorer Limited, the Maverick feels like a cheap truck.
Yes. Compared to the 2006 Saturn Vue I drove before, the Lariat Maverick is a lux item. But Ford does undeniably make even nicer models. It is all a matter of perspective, I suppose. There are always nicer vehicles, but so far I haven't found a nicer truck in the size range from any manufacturer. If Ford hadn't made the "new" Ranger so freakin' huge I would have bought one of those when they came out a few years ago. The Santa Cruz is the closest, but I dislike the looks. So far there is nothing else in comparison for what I want.Yes. Compared to the 2006 Saturn Vue I drove before, the Lariat Maverick is a lux item. But Ford does undeniably make even nicer models.
It would if you want to cut into your dash and get the moduels that control it. That large screen is part of the Tech Package I and Tech II, and it comes with Sync 4. Mavericks XL and XLT come with Sync 1, and Lariat comes with Sync 3.Wouldn't surprise me if the larger screen from the '24 Escape works in the Maverick, if you also swap the Sync controller, if they really want a larger screen. - Or if an aftermarket doesn't come along sooner than later. The new escape screen is just that much wider than the current screen, which basically came right from the '20-'22 Escape.
The CV axles are a known issue, as Ford apparently had some issues with a supplier. It does appear that more Hybrid models need them than Ecoboost, so probably related to the regenerative braking, making mine prone to an early demise, using Eco 99% of the time. Supposedly, there a newer version or revised unit. Not sure when/if the newer unit made it into the production line, but it would have been fairly recent. - Hopefully when mine needs them replaced, the newer unit is readily available to the dealership.
I'm curious about the 'sticky' comment about the dash, if no treatments were used. I wipe mine down with Turtle Wax Interior Job w/Graphene at least once a month in hopes of reducing the likelihood of scratches. - So far so good, don't have any obvious scratches on the interior yet, and now probably jinxed myself.
The price point for a Lariat Lux is mid 30's, I don't think my expectations are out of line in that price point. I would be happy with the screen from the 2021 Ecosport platinum, and it's seat memory. One axel was replaced in a week, the other side has been on back order since Nov 1, still hasn't shipped yet. Dealership is covering a loaner car, but it will be January before I get the truck back. That seems a bit long. There are lots of things that could have been better, however, at the price point of the truck, you ain't going to get them. THAT is what people need to remember.
