I didn't have the intentions of driving my Lobo this much when I first got it, but due to "life happens" I've ended up as a Spark Driver as my workers comp case gets handled. What that means? I deliver orders for Walmart, I set my own hours, yada yada yada...

What that means for the Lobo, well... In December I had just under 5,000 miles on it, and now I will hit the 15,000 mark this week for sure. So I'm in the truck most of the day. So here is what I think of it as of right now.

It's very comfortable, considering the amount of driving I do, and all the times I'm in and out of the truck, I'm rarely sore. Even my F150 with massaging seats would leave me sore after a long drive. I love how it handles, today I hit a rather curvatious road and really had some fun with it. If I had to compare it to one of my previous vehicles, I'd go with the 2000 BMW Z3 with a hell of a lot more cabin space. I actually can fit in this thing haha. I did just order some lowering springs for it, I need to get rid of that hideous wheel gap, and if I get even more handling that's just icing on the cake. Just having the ability to do small truck things in a package that is more car like is great.

I just ordered some H&R lowering springs, need to get rid of the hideous wheel gap. And the added handling improvements will just be icing on the cake. If I had to complain about the handling or ride in any way, it would be the tires for sure. They are just so hard, and I get that the harder compound will give them more life, and in an AWD set up, that's what they were going for, but I just feel like there is so much left in both handling and breaking that the tires are holding it back from. I will definitely be changing to a different tire set up when the time comes.

The infotainment system is where things start to show some disgust. The B&O system sounds ok, and there are some nice little adjustments that can be made...but the lack of a subwoofer control is really annoying. If I move the fade to a more front stage set up, I lose the low end from the subwoofer that's in the rear. Speaking of the subwoofer, for a stock system it isn't horrible. But for the upgraded package cost, it should be better. I will more than likely upgrade the speakers and subwoofer at some point, but for now they get the job done well enough.

Now the apple car play, this is HORRENDOUS. The amount of times that I have to shut my phone off and turn it back on, or shut the truck off, or try to plug the phone in...just to get it to reconnect because it randomly decides to disconnect is annoying to say the least. And the fact that I can plug it in and it doesn't automatically recognize the car play is bad, REALLY bad. It see's my phone, it indexes my phone, it connects my phone, but car play is unavailable. Now since I use my phone ALL THE TIME for my deliveries, this is more than frustrating. Going from the giant screen to navigate to the the small phone screen isn't cool. My next service (which is this week), I'll talk to them about this.

I was very surprised that there was no auto dimming rear view mirror with this, and that sucked, so I bought a blue tinted clip on mirror that gets the job done. I also added the Mabett phone holder, which I love. The wireless charging was hit or miss and would heat the phone up like crazy. And then when I started to deliver, I needed a way to access my phone at all times (to accept orders or confirm my arrival).

Gas mileage is a huge plus, even using 93 and driving very spirited I'll average 26 (it's a lot of back road driving in my area). I'll take 26 over 18 any day, and if I drive nicely on the highway I'm well over 30.

I am very curious about the 300T package they are coming out with for the next model, and will be interested to see if there is an upgraded performance package available to the Lobo owners (we really only need the turbo, exhaust, and tune). And if not, it doesn't seem the parts are that difficult to find and I know a lot of shops that do great tunes, so that's a possibility.

Overall, I'm very happy with my purchase and it has been a life saver being forced in the delivery service for the time being. And now that the weather is turning nicer (we'll see if it stays), it should be even more fun...

I would Love to drive a Lobo to compare it to My 2025 XLT AWD Maverick with the 2.0 EB. Have You posted Pictures of Your Lobo on here before? If not post some pictures of it here's Mine.

Still dirty, NY can't make up it's mind on what season it wants to be. Dealer first called and said they wouldn't install them, 3" is too much and you won't be able to turn the wheel. I informed them it was 3"for a standard maverick, but just under 2" for a lobo since it's lowered from factory. They reluctantly did, and when I went to pick it up they were shocked that I was right...

I know it's not UNCOMMON, but I still think it's sad when a customer knows more about a vehicle than a dealer...

Nice looking Lobo you got there! The best feature (aesthetically that is) on the Lobo trim, is the color matching cladding & bumpers. Not to mention the ONLY trim level that offers fog lights! Why can't Ford offer these features as "options" on other trim levels? With certain colors, mainly the lighter colors, that color matching makes a HUGE difference. Very sharp looking (y)

How does it drive with the H&R lowering springs? What's different in the way it drives from stock?

Having put a little over 500 miles on it with the new springs, I can say there isn't a massive difference in ride quality on normal roads. Railroad crossings and really rough roads are much harsher, but it is a stiffer spring, so that's to be expected.

Handling however, has improved a lot. And it handled well before. The only thing holding this back from peak performance is brakes and tires honestly.
