It really just needed the 2.3. They had the engineering right in front of them with the Lincoln Corsair as well as the Focus RS. It was RIGHT THERE...

Yeah but 325 HP and 400 ft/lb torque (the 2.7L) would be lots of fun. I had a Fusion Sport with that engine and AWD, what a sleeper. And IIRC, the Lincoln version of the 2.7L had 400 HP.
