Every review is biased, whether supported by advertising dollars or not. No one is completely objective. Everyone has different preferences and priorities.Motor Trend Group does accept advertising from Ford, and they offer various opportunities for brand exposure across their digital, linear, and social platforms.
This fact alone would cause me to believe that Motor Trend is a little bit biased. Advertising dollars talk.

That's no reason to skip reading the review. Read it and apply critical thinking skills. Motor Trend even <GASP!> criticizes some Maverick features, including the angle of the infotainment screen, the new front bumper, and the price of the Lariat and Tremor models.Yes, but advertising dollar$ influence a whole lot.
In 2023, Ford Motor Company spent $2.5 billion worldwide on advertising activities, which includes advertising, marketing programs, brand promotions, customer mailings, promotional events, and auto shows.
I have no idea how much Hurst magazines gets from Ford, for advertisement. I'm sure they will not risk that revenue income by saying a product sucks.
