How does the deal happen? I reserved my Maverick, got confirmation email from Dealer. Whats next, do we talk price first, deposit and than work out financing? My Dealer seems to be clueless on anything other than it will be out in the fall of this year. PLEASE, someone enlightem me on how the deal is done. Thanks

It seems like there are many ways this deal can go down. Here is what I did. I wrote to several internet managers at local Ford dealerships. I live in the country so they were all small, mom and pop operations. Most did not have a clue. One, however, seemed to care enough to work with me. I finalized a price (basically invoice) on a fully well loaded Lariat. They emailed the order form, I approved it and sent along a photo of my driver's license. They sent the whole package to Ford and I received confirmation from Ford the next day. Once I settled on a price with this dealer, I went to the Ford website and built the truck on the reservation page. At the bottom of that page I indicated who I wanted as my dealer. That is how it went down with me but I'm sure others have different stories.

Order placed this past Thursday, 6/24/21.
After I got phone call, stating they had more information regarding my reservation.
Got dealer copy of order, and order confirmation direct from Ford.

Only took 21 days and 5 dealerships but finally got my order processed. Cactus Grey XLT Hybrid w/Lux pkg. Added order to list.

Got my Velocity Blue XLT Hybrid reserved through Moyer Ford in Foley, Ala at MSRP with no money down and did all the paperwork digitally. Much better arrangement than my local dealer who wanted $1k down payment and a $5k dealer markup over MSRP plus $795 docs and prep fee.
