⁉️After Rear Camera Update - New Glitch

After rear camera software update a new undesirable effect / glitch has surfaced in mine. Check yours and let me know.

Now, when I start the truck, put it in reverse, the camera comes on quickly as it should.

BUT THERE IS NO button to zoom in on my trailer ball.

So annoying.

Now I do get the zoom button on future additional reverses. But not on the first reverse after a fresh key start. Weird.

Tested 2 ways, just in case. Key out door open screen off before 2nd test.

Start - while Ford logo on screen, put in Reverse.
Start - waited until radio screen showing, put in Reverse.

Same result. Got the Zoom available.

I just did the same test with the same results as you. Zoom available both ways.

Since I start and then do my buckle and radio change perhaps, I'm never fast enough into Reverse to have a system overload problem - but I could see that being a problem while the Ford logo is showing, music is playing, thumb drive music is perhaps being sorted, ect.

When backing to a trailer, often I am in and out of the truck several times. Making adjustments several times of just feet or inches. Seat belt is not needed. If I'm not in a parking lot I am in my own driveway or yard. And I'm in and out more if the camera is on the fritz.

Doubt it is anything caused by the update as my 2024 has the issue where the "*" does not always show up. Had not figured out when it doesn't, so guess I will have to check out your theory the next time I try to attach my trailer. Have had it happen 2 or 3 times that I have noticed.

The first few times I wasn't sure if I was hallucinating or something. It was kind of subliminal since let's face it, there's not a lot of reasons to hit the + button.

But last weekend I really NEEDED it. And it wasn't there. Then. Later it was there.

Now that I'm consciously looking, I noted yesterday it WAS present. From the very start. So appears to be intermittent.

Same intermittent I get after the camera update for what is the initial screen - the way I left it, or back on home screen.

No rhyme or reason I can find, can't make it happen - sometimes it just reverts to Home screen with radio as a source option.

Huh - another strangeness.

Moved truck during lunch to now shady area (that doesn't have birds eating berries causing me more car washes).

Reverse while the Ford logo was still up, actually started moving soon too - no Zoom button.
Never noticed but will try to now - maybe no zoom when the movement starts anyway.

And when I went into Drive immediately the camera view dropped - no 6 mph, no park.
Now - that glitch could have occurred prior to software update and I might not have noticed.

on camera update I have Never had a problem on my 23 Tremor, took it in for cpl recalls but was told it was taking camera update, they would send service out to do it . I don’t have No issue with my truck camera, really don’t want them messing with as I told them when took in there is No problem . They do an update and there is usually something else diff after?

I've had the update done on my 24' about 4 months ago. No issues with the backup cam since like freezing or messages as I had before the update.

I’ve never really had any issues with trk, they’ve done updates, my Tremor was a late July build, I know 24s had camera issues and weren’t selling them, but I’ve had zero camera issues. Been very happy with it
