From a Google search:
If you did all of these things to your truck, it would presumably increase your (unofficial) tow capacity to 4K, but the truck, for warranty purposes, would still be considered a 2K configuration. Then there's the expense of the parts and the labor to install everything...
This shouldn't be about just blind spot monitoring. Depending on how limited your range of motion is (or will be), it's also about intersection angles and whether or not you can adequately check for approaching traffic before entering the intersection.
You may need something that can provide a...
There may well be a large number of people who will pay more to purchase an American-made product, but there aren't enough of them to sustain a business. I know this from my experience owning a truck and offroad accessories shop.
The percentage of people who chose quality over cost was always...
I test drove it and did end up buying a Mini S convertible with it, for which I'm awaiting delivery. I think it will be easier to get used to than the Maverick dial. As others have said, I now just kind of spin the dial when parking or going into drive, but have to look when going into reverse...
This is how MINI did their electronic shifter:
To go into drive, you press the button on the side of the shifter and pull back. To go into reverse, press the button and push forward. To put it in park, just press the P button. If you own both a newer MINI and a Maverick (like yours truly)...
Don't let them start fixing it until you know the not-to exceed repair bill and the threshold at which the insurance company will total it. If the body shop submits supplemental bills that trigger the total loss threshold, you'll end up holding the bag. Here are three ways that can play out if...
If I'm not mistaken, your Maverick is in Devens, MA waiting for a truck. I believe they do wait to complete a load before assigning a truck but I'd hope it wouldn't take that long since Wiscasset Ford is a huge dealer whose lot looks like they could be a regional distributor for Ford. I guess it...
Based on the invoice, it looks like they used a wiring repair kit rather than replace the entire harness. I'm OK with that since it meant they only needed to remove the A-pillar cover instead of getting into a lot more of the interior and dash areas.
Of course, now the repair needs to hold up.
I could be wrong but I'm guessing he hard-wired into the BCM and the dealer didn't know to disconnect it (or chose not to) causing the update to fail and requiring the reflash.
I got my truck back today and it's all fixed, although it took 4 business days. They confirmed that the wires were crushed by the buckle in the A-pillar as a result of the side curtain airbag recall work.
Interestingly, that fault also caused the TPMS light to come on well after the key fobs...
I have the same one in my Mini Cooper and I may replace the one in my Maverick with it. The mount system makes it a breeze to remove and it uses the same USB-C cable as my Android phone. Video quality is good as well.
I used the Putco split bar while others have used the full bar from Putco and other brands. They all are compatible with multiple truck models. Only the Curt harness is Maverick-specific.

This solution works and the Curt harness means you don't have to splice into the factory harness.
