If I remember correctly, 2024 is basically the same as 2022-23, with 2025 being the refresh. So, regardless of what Putco said, there are a bunch of folks here doing exactly what Putco said they can't do.
I suspect a miscommunication in some form or fashion. Putco may not have a plug & play...
Check to see if there is a thin wall that runs along the bed rail downturn. If you are positioning the clamps behind the downturn, that may be the problem. Mine are in between that thin piece and the downturn. I could see where going behind the downturn might pull the track down.
Look closely...
The A/C lines on Wrangler JK's are visible through the furthest left vertical grille slot. Owners had rocks thrown up by cars in front hit those and puncture them. That repair was also very expensive, but the aftermarket provided a drop-in screen to protect them and add some decorative look to...
When I buy a car at a dealership, I don't allow the negotiation to start until I have my keys back in my hand (assuming I'm entertaining a trade-in). If the first trade-in value is below expectations, I thank the salesman for his time and start walking out. That usually gets a quick value...
Were you wearing a seat belt? If you were, I'm surprised the tensioner didn't activate to keep you away from the steering wheel. If you weren't, you should probably be glad the airbag didn't deploy.
At my old shop, we installed many a roll-up tonneau cover with a drop-in liner. The only dop-ins that needed altering were the over-the-rail types and no one does those anymore.
I'm thinking that's not the real sales price. My guess is they're going add on all this stuff listed in the dealer notes:
All Pricing and Advertised Prices for any/all vehicles offered for sale does not include dealer installed accessories which can be purchased for an additional cost. Dealer...
I traded in my 15K-mile 2022 XLT EB AWD with Lux, CP360, Moonroof, and rear slider in mid-December on a 34K-mile 2022 Ranger Lariat. Trade-in value was $24,500, which saved me just over $1,500 in MA sales tax for a total trade value of just over $26K.
At that point, Carvana was only offering...
Now that I'm using the cover regularly on the Ranger, I've found one item to highlight. Unlike the Truxedo Sentry hard rollup I had on the Maverick, I can close this one easily regardless of whether the tailgate is up or down. The Truxedo required the tailgate to be open before it would close...
Based on this statement, I suggest doing two things. First, (if you haven't already) visit a dealer and have your wife open and close the tailgate. The Maverick tailgate is extremely light compared to previous trucks I've had and it might be light enough for her.
Second, see if you can find a...
I traded my 22 XLT 2.0 EB AWD with Lux, 360, and moonroof on 12/24 against a 2020 Ranger Lariat and got $24.5K for the trade-in.
The Maverick was around 14,850 for mileage and had the swing case, a hard rollup cover, and the BedRug bed mat installed. The dealership sold it in just over a week...
I just posted a review of the TLAPS hard rollup cover that was installed on my Ranger today. It is considerably less expensive than the major brands (around $580 for the Maverick, I believe).
I got the cover installed today and here is my review of it, along with some other observations.
This was our starting point (Ford drop-in liner and Truxedo Lo Pro soft rollup that's been partially removed already):
Here is what the bed on my 2020 Ranger looks like after only 4-5 years...
