  1. Tonneau Covers - Hard Roll-Up?

I got mine last Tuesday but it won't be installed until this coming Wednesday. Packaging looks typical for this type of cover. The reason for the delay is that I asked my old shop to schedule it for a time when I could be there for the entire install in order to photo-document it and show...
  2. Tonneau Covers - Hard Roll-Up?

My cover arrived today and will be installed in the next few days. I'm having my old shop, which is now owned by one of my former employees, do the installation so I can get their opinion on the quality and so I can photo-document the installation. I plan to post a review here and on the...
  3. Tonneau Covers - Hard Roll-Up?

The price on eBay jumped right after I bought mine for a 6' Ranger bed. I paid $569 and a few days later, it was up to $642.
  4. Tailgate Light Bar that fits?

A 48" light bar should fit or you can use something like the Putco split bar that I used so I could stay clear of the spare tire access hole.
  5. (SIAP) Maverick: The Affordable, Practical Convertible The Market Is Missing

Agreed. But if you know how to stiffen the chassis like the factory does, the necessary pieces can be fabricated. The Mustang and Cougar were very similar, but the Cougar was both longer in wheelbase and wider at the hips. Even the rear quarters were designed to rise up and meet the sloping...
  6. Tonneau Covers - Hard Roll-Up?

I ordered one for my Ranger, based on that review. It is supposed to arrive on Tuesday and I should be able to get it installed next week. The price when I ordered it was $569 for a 6' bed, but it's now at $642. Still a bargain compared to the major brand prices, though. I'll come back to this...
  7. (SIAP) Maverick: The Affordable, Practical Convertible The Market Is Missing

Conversions can be done correctly. Mercury never made a Cougar convertible until 1969, so this was my 1968 Cougar XR-7C conversion. A couple of my Cougar club friends in upstate NY did the structural conversion work, but I stipulated that it had to be done the same way that Ford did the Mustang...
  8. Bedrug liner - experiences / review?

I had the mat with tailgate cover on my Maverick and just bought the full bedliner for my Ranger. I had the full liner on my F-350. I don't really want a truck without one because they are much easier on the knees and are easy to clean with good wear durability.
  9. Tailgate LED light bar for lariat with bliss

I suggest reading this thread: https://www.mavericktruckclub.com/forum/threads/tailgate-light-bar-possible-solution.26364/page-2#post-500311 Everything, including the reverse light, worked as it should without any effect on the towing system or driver aids.
  10. Out with the old and in with the new! 2022 Cyber Orange > 2025 Ruby Red Metallic Tinted Clearcoat

That's Ruby Red, so a lot darker that HPR but I like both.
  11. I just purchased my 2025 Maverick...but didn't get my truck! (Got it 4 days later with no problems)

PW is Providence & Worcester railroad. Is that part of a CSX train?
  12. Time to call it...

It's a Shadow Black Lariat Supercab with a veteran plate. I switched up which Ranger to buy. The 56K one was a 2019 XLT, but I ended up with a 34K mile 2020 Lariat. Same tranny, though, and the 5-year mark is coming up sooner than later so I will be getting an extended warranty. I'll also...
  13. Time to call it...

The 2019 deal didn't get done because I backed out of it. What I did get was a well-optioned 2020 Ranger Lariat with 33K miles. I also improved my trade-in value by $2500. We paid the difference in cash, no debt. Need? No, not at the moment. But the drive home in the Ranger reminded me why I...
  14. Time to call it...

First, I want to thank everyone who critiqued or challenged my decision, even those who added a dose of snark. It made me rethink the whole thing and see if I could do something better. I'm not keeping the Maverick, but I'm getting a better result. Sending me back to the drawing board led me to...
  15. Time to call it...

I might, at some point. The Ranger can take a light duty plow. All the major brands that I'm familiar with make the truck-side mounts and harnesses for the Ranger.
  16. Time to call it...

I used them for the extended warranty on the Maverick. Now I have to figure out how to cancel it. Maybe a phone call to them is in order....
  17. Time to call it...

Good to know and thanks for the heads-up. I'll have them print out the service records for me and quote an extended drivetrain warranty.
  18. Time to call it...

My dealer didn't smudge anything during the airbag recall, but did pinch the harness in the A-pillar, which led to my key fob being unable to lock or unlock the doors and the TPMS to not read the sensors, so that necessitated another trip back to the dealer to repair the harness.
  19. Time to call it...

I'm in Central MA(Worcester area). I have a double-wide driveway from the street to the attached garage (30' give or take), a 15' single-wide from the street halfway to the attached garage, then double-wide the next 15' and then another double-wide from the front of the attached garage to the...
