I believe you, but that's probably just the difference in markets between Texas and MA. Every decently equipped Ranger I found with under 30K miles was $30-35K with no movement on price from the dealers. I also saw that extended cabs above the XL level are unicorns around here.
The same dealer...
Don't forget that we're talking wholesale (Maverick) vs. retail (Ranger).
The price on the Ranger is $23.5K. Trade-in value on the Maverick is $22.6K Then there is doc fee ($499.00), sales tax (90.75), RMV ($100) and state inspection ($35). Out the door, with all fees included, was where the...
I only do my own driveway and I've used a Jeep Wrangler for that. You just have to understand the equipment and not let a storm get too far ahead of it. With a Ranger, 3-4" would be the limit before starting to plow, maybe 2" if it's a heavy snow. Then, don't try to push too much; take 1/2 cuts...
I will, I'm sure. You may want to reread the post, though. It was the combination of the issues experienced by people who've accumulated more miles than me (i.e., my future, potentially) AND things like the bed length and the propensity for total loss in relatively minor accidents. Oh, and I...
My Maverick has been pretty reliable but I can't ignore all the issues people have had as they accumulate miles or the endless stream of recalls. Not to mention, how easily these trucks seem to get totalled from what should have been minor accidents. I've also had occasion to find the bed length...
I haven't heard anything about a class action lawsuit, but you'd have to have experienced some qualified legal "injury" to join the class, if there is one. If your truck hasn't been delayed and you haven't had an accident tied to the camera, it doesn't seem you'd qualify.
Nice install job, but I'm surprised no one mentioned using a key fob remote. No risk of theft since I don't leave my keys in the truck and easy enough to reach. For access to the garage when not in a vehicle, I have an app on my phone that opens one door on each of my two garages.
I'd like to think that, some day, someone will figure out that it's cheaper to do it right the first time than to fix it later. This recall is likely to be more expensive in the end compared to just using the standard Sync system in all trim levels.
I say that and then I remember my life as a...
It was daytime. Sequential turn signal and brake lights all LED but not as bright as the Lasfit LEDs. The target fixation was likely the teen drivers phone.
In that case, just change the muffler to a quieter one. No need to replace the whole kit. Check the configuration of the muffler (entry and exit points and size of pipe) and then find a stock muffler that fits those specs.
The part under the hood isn't a steering stabilizer, it's a brace to stiffen the front clip. It can improve handling and reduce cowl shake, which doesn't seem to be a problem on the Maverick. It's something that performance-oriented owners like to do.
Steering stabilizers are installed as part...
Have you considered a hard roll-up? I have the Truxedo Sentry, which is above your target price, but it gives me the same capability as the tri-fold.
If you roll it all the way up so it's tight to the back window, there is virtually no loss of bed space.
I used to own a business that sold a...
Yup, I saw the MSRP, not the selling price. But the decision factor remains the same. Used vs. new vs. content of Lux package. Is it worth it to buy something someone else gave up after only 5K miles?
So basically a new 2024 XLT non-Lux for $32K + fees or a used 2024 XLT with Lux and 4600 miles for $2.5K more. If it was me, there would have to be something in the Lux package that I wanted enough to pay more for used versus new.
