Sold it to Carvana. Prices are still apparently up, I guess they just fluctuate on the site in response to their algorithms, they bought it for $700 more than I paid for it in 2022.
When they flash the updated as built data which incorporates whatever change they made (in this case a change related to turn signals) it is based on how the vehicle was configured from the factory. If someone went in and added cruise to their 2022 XL, when they go in for this recall the flash...
That one guy here would have ordered his 1970 Maverick without reading the fine print and then he would have been angry that there was an up-charge for the white-wall tires! $32!
Caveat emptor. The good news is that you could have refused your 24 and ordered another this time paying attention to the options. You need the XLT lux package to get your heated seats, etc.
Reminder that it doesn't have to be. Only if you want it to be plug and play. Otherwise if you find a good deal on a unit from a vehicle with a different powertrain you'll need to do some Forscan magic to get it working correctly.
Interesting, I just had to replace one of these from the recent snow storm. Ford apparently did a GREAT job designing them.
This was for the driver's side rear rocker piece:

Maverick FX4 IPC with roughly 23,500 miles on it. This will include the 5 button center console switch required to get hill descent control working. You will just need to either buy the center console harness or add a 12g wire (that is what I did).
$200 $175 for the IPC and switch shipped.
That's too bad, it hasn't bothered me at all and my Escape before this Maverick had it. At least there are plenty of other options I've been able to add pretty easily to my XL AWD, , 6.5" IPC, HDC, power locking tailgate, etc.
If it makes you feel better I'm dealing with a second set of bad front half shafts on a stock suspension ecoboost. Getting a vibration under load. This is my third Ford and honestly I don't think post COVID manufacturing and supply chain issues have been kind to Ford and the already problematic...
Sorry, just seeing this but it seems like you got it figured out. It should just engage when the button is pressed but I believe there are speed limitations. I have accidentally activated it while wiping down the center console and the system is very active in the way it maintains a certain speed.
