Not sure if you actually read the thread but Method wheels says that their 16" wheels with a 15 offset fit on the Maverick. "Verified fitment" according to their website. Thanks for contributing.
Just call Method to make sure it's actually verified, they are a company that has been around the block so I would trust what they have to say. DTD deals with every make and model on the market across their entire range of wheel brands that they sell, there's no way they could accurately verify...
There's a good analysis of the design and manufacturing of the Maverick from Sandy Munro on youtube, their thinking is it's designed to prevent intrusion into the space where the gas tank is. He specifically mentions he thought it was more for the AWD variant due to the rear differential unit...
JCR reached out to me today to let me know they shipped the new, updated design catalytic converter skid plate. So far their customer service has been great, I'll update the thread with a review of fitment and updated photos as soon as I receive it.
Not sure what there is to misinterpret. A full size tire on my XL is a 225/65R17 tire, the "full size" spare has a size of 215/60R17 which has a diameter that is 1.36" shorter. If you think that's acceptable as a full size spare then I don't know what to tell you but on an AWD system that can be...
It's not actually a full size spare, it's larger than a donut but it's not the same size as the tires that come standard at all 4 corners. It's very misleading on Ford's part
You don't have to remove the steering wheel to install factory cruise, you just need to remove the airbag which is super easy. Just go with the factory switches, it's a lot easier than you're thinking. There are also plenty of videos on youtube documenting the install
I do all of my own oil changes, every 3k miles with a motorcraft filter and spec Castrol Edge full synthetic. I also upload my receipt and manually enter the service in the Fordpass app. I doubt they show up on Carfax so it's not necessarily a deal breaker. I wonder if there's a way to look up...
I can't even tell that they're there on my laptop given the carbonized grey color. My only concern would be dirt and sand getting trapped behind them which will act like sandpaper and bring your fenders down to bare metal in no time.
