Don't do all that much driving anymore. Slightly shy of three weeks after taking ownership and now with around 60 miles total on the road, a few minor eccentricities which fall into the 'will eventually learn to live with it but would it were otherwise' category:
1) Headlight switch defaults to...
Strictly FYI for any who may not have tuned in or may have missed the nugget.
'22 Maverick production line to remain in operation through the bulk of October.
(Remainder of) April, May, June, July, August, September, (partial) October equals a skootch over seven months more to produce '22s.
No wiring, no light strips to stick or screw on.
Thought I'd take a chance and try this unit out. Arrived today. Strong magnet on one end. Rechargeable via USB.
Able to stand vertically on the truck bed floor but as I have the bed mat which would sit between the base of the thing and the floor...
Thinking about possibly getting some stick-on blind spot mirrors. Any recommendations for ones with truly robust adhesive? Experience with adjustable types (consider or avoid?) versus flat types?
Think along the lines of a tennis racket. Handle/stalk inserted into the FITS slot of the rear of the center console, spreading out into a panel with a grid or honeycomb pattern acting as a screen to discourage pets in the rear seat from moving to the front through the gap between the seats.
Not a dream, not a hoax, not an imaginary story.
Brand spanking new blue Maverick happily perched in the driveway as of 90 minutes ago.
BTW, checked last week when completing paperwork and taking it out for a test drive then- arrived at dealership with the touch screen software already...
Rear license plate: attached by 2 or by 4 screws?
Front license plate: same question.
Went down an internet rabbit hole looking at license plate frames last evening. Know full well I'll be able to check this when bring the new truck home on Monday but thought some others patiently waiting...
Three guesses (and the first two don't count) what arrived at the dealership on the 17th. Told me they also received four other hybrids, all on the same day.
Anyhoo, trip to town to deal with all the paperwork, financing, et cetera taken care of. After which was able to take it out for a test...
First, NOT Mavericks. Quoted article link here.
"Ford will soon start selling and shipping some Ford Explorers without the chips that power rear air conditioning and heating controls, according to a report from Automotive News..The automaker will instead ship the missing semiconductors to...
Japan’s top automaker Toyota will scale back domestic production over the next three months because of a supply crunch in chips and other parts that have slammed the global auto industry.
Toyota Motor Corp. will cut back vehicle production in Japan by about 20% in April, by 10% in May, and 5%...
Set foot for the first time in the dealership today, equipped with printouts from the tracker and of the window sticker.
After introducing myself to the salesman (although at my age he appears much more like a salesboy) I asked him to pull up any additional info he could. Lo and behold...
He...
Contemplating swinging by the dealer during the monthly bill paying and grocery run into town tomorrow. From time of order last August they've been quieter than a Carthusian monastery. Took me six weeks to wheedle an e-mail confirmation of my order (which was approved August 4) from the...
Aware of the new layout of the tracker. Question is can anyone confirm whether or not a check mark not being included on Shipped circle means it is actually on the move and the check mark only appears once it has reached its destination? (Some text pixelated in the image below for a semblance of...
Kind of, sort of halfway between a tri-fold and a retractable. As the guy in the first video stresses, may not be everyone's cup of beverage. Whether there's yet one sized for a Maverick I don't know.
Positive movement afoot. XL hybrid, initial reservation placed online August 1st. Since last checking the tracking site the Built circle now sports a check mark as opposed to just being filled in (same build date before and after check mark, regardless) and the status has changed to Shipped (no...
