Nice. We camped 12 yrs in a fiver RV. Miss it…the camping stuff. Been curious of these top cab mounted sleepers. I’d have to go at it alone, but wife prob say no. Besides, has knees replacement and can’t climb ladders. But to put it bluntly, she could sleep on the ground. LoL.
The low viscosity bothers me. I did Blackstone report on mine too, and report low viscosity as well. Our Escape report had low viscosity as well. Gotta be that 5W-30 oil values.
I haulEd dirt and river rocks. Not lots squat. Driving on interstate approx 50 mph had wallows. I had wished added more air pressure to tires. Completed the haul ok.
And the battery is not a regular off shelf wet battery. It’s a more expensive AGM type. That auto S/S does taxes the battery.
Wife drives a 2017 Escape Titanium. Can tell when battery fixing to go…the auto S/S quits working. Time for new battery!
I typically reset the Trip 2 odometer to zero after each oil change, use that to record mileage after. That way I don’t have to dig into glove box fir receipt dealer gave me of oil change, to learn mileage when do e.
Huh? There’s talk of dropping the Escape. My wife loves, use her Escape for anything, everything, hauls stuff that needs a truck to haul.
Of course, I have to clean it after she does her dirty deeds!
Driving around in suburban town, display shows approx 23 mpg average.
Just did first cross country trip from Texas to Louisiana, interstate roads, display showing 34 mpg . Driving 68-69 mph, set on Econ mode, whatever that is, on cruise control, 95-98 deg F ambient.
My belief…unlike nitrogen, compressed air oxidizing agent. And rubber has some permeability, will see leakages over time. Compressed air will react with rubber compounds, essentially causing some measure of sealing. Nitrogen, being stable gas, will not reacts with compounds, hence any...
Made 2 big hauls few months ago. 2 truck loads of organic dirt. Then truck load of river rocks. Ricks load estimated to be 1,500#.
My tail gate n bed spray lined, but to ensure a clean bed, laid down tarp over the bed before front end loader dumped the stuff. Makes it easier to clean the bed...
Was approaching 1,2xx miles. Pulled oil sample. Got report. Metals and silicone in oil. Also viscosity low. So visit dealer for oil n filter change. Blend oil fill.
Free, cause of points on new vehicle.
I prob go 3,000 miles, pull another sample see what numbers are. Decide if change oil...
