I check Amazon, found a storage, toolbox that will work. Itās 30ā width x 13ā deep, x 9.5ā high. Will fit in between the bed lower partitions. I did a save for later, in hopes someone will put in Santaās bag. š
Oh well, this sorta reinforces my intents to switch to full synthetic at next oil change.
Had oil sample reads at approx 1,500 miles since new. No surprises, expect metal n silicone so got oil change then, using blended Motorcraft oil. Now have ~4,000 miles on truck or approx 2,500 miles on...
I have. But opt not to go that route. The bed n tailgate is spray lined. Had a Colorado bed spray liner, with Bak tonneau. It was ok. Last truck was F250, also spray lined but no top as the fifth wheel hitch would interfere.
Iāve seen few trucks with floor jacks thrown in back, out in the...
Iām interested to find a small tool box, similar to those aluminum jobs that goes across the top of truck beds. But will fit āinsideā the bed, up against the wall, under the window. Very low profile, so to speak. Something to put a small floor Jack, some tools to do flat tires, a DC powered air...
Iāve always posted on other forums, RV and Ford diesel, I hate buying tires. Especially for the RV, they seem to lose belts, or pop.
It disturbs me when get new vehicles cannot find the OEM tires or like kind anywhere if need to replace. Mfr put tires on the vehicles for a reason, Iām sure...
Me too. But not my first truck. Had a F250 diesel. We do hauls from HD or Lowes too. But buy, haul dirt or rocks in bulk from a yard. Cheaper, and easier to unload Into wheel barrels. When we haul bulk dirt or rocks, put a HD canvas in the bed to easily clean it out.
Itās payload, hitch weight, tow weight.
i had a F259 diesel, fifth wheel RV, and its hitch weight in the bed adds to payload total. Payload is folks, fuel, stuff in back bed.
Towing via rear mounted hitch up is usually minimum to total values.
Towing is what truck can pull, and stop. A...
Thatās a load of balky item.
I carried loads of dirt for the garden, and gravel. Dirt 3 times and gravel once. Both quite a load. Some at yards where dirt n rocks loaded estimated could be 1200-1500#. Truck handled load well, both on road and power wise. I was more worried of the tires, if they...
When I had the F250 diesel, I love the tranny gear display. I could tease speed to keep truck in high gear. Also love engine and tranny oil temperatures readouts. Does your Scan II unit do similar?
What I look for in gauges is midrange accuracy. Ford recommends tire inflation of 35 psi, front and rear. Many gauge mfr calibrate gauges with an acceptable mid-range criterion. if you measuring fir 35 psi, getting a gauge with 0-150 range is not ideal. One would want a 0-60# range gauge, so...
Probably the shape of your tank?
I noticed the gauge itself falls fast after a fill up. Then takes longer time for movement, as tank shape holds fuel in that 3/4 to 1/4 range, big volume. Once hits 1/4, then tends to fall faster. Like emptying a coke bottle upside down, when fluid hits the...
Much said about this. My 2 cents. What I did. Drove to approx 1500 miles, pulled oil sample, sent to lab. Got report. Yep, some metals, silicone from gasket, sealant stuff.
Got oil n filter changed. Put in blended oil this go around. Plan 3k-4K miles, do another oil sample. If better numbers...
