So far haul 2 truck loads of dirt and 1 of river rocks.
One issue I worried of filling it up with tailgate up. On my old F250, when loaded with dirt against the tailgate, couldnāt open it. Too much load against it. Had to dig out some to open it.
Day I hauled dirt and rocks not much against...
Hate hail. Camper and F250 truck in big hailstorm at a campground. Camper had big damage, truck had dimples, even being parked under a tree.
The Maverick sits outside, worry of the many storms weāve facing now in SE Texas area. Have a garage but filled with big tools and couple work benches...
Regarding the crumple part, I think it might be related to lug nuts on my RV. They are chrome, or more specifically, stainless steel. What they are are steel lug nuts with stainless shell cover over the steel. And they do crumble. The shell covers will split, get loose whenever an impact wrench...
Oh, I opened Ford Pass in my phone, now see the new version. Have to try it to really compare with previous version. Definitely a different look. Hoping to see improvements, user friendly modes.
No matter what anyone says about early changing of engine oil. IāM GONNA CHANGE IT. Everything is ābreaking inā - knurl cylinder walls, rings, cam n lifters, bearings and seals. Yea, seals. Oil analysis reveals metals and compositions of seals . All this stuff slows down, minimized over time...
Nice TIG welding.
i work in oil n gas instrumentation where lots of stainless steel used, especially of the 316L SSTL enclosures are welded. Exterior #2 polished, that takes care of exterior weld marks. Interior are mill finish surface, but if not treated, see blue weld marks. To clear up the...
Own couple RVs. Told wife NO heavy stuff, in the plates, pots, pans department. Plastic or paper plates. Any cookware for campfire cooking, light wright. If cast iron, smaller better, since cooking only for 2. If bicycles, aluminum frame best. In a nutshell, KISS is the word.
Yea, aware, I read the BS they write in them. Maintenance is the big ticket of most. And who services them. I am a big believer in PM of all my vehicles. Donāt expect any hic cups with this truck, or with dealer, should any issue crops up.
Love cuddly cabin boats. Cool.
i towed a RV, but chose proper truck to tow, and with adequate āpayload capacityā, what it can carry, not tow.
The big issue is, in spite good towing capacities, can a tow truck stop a heavy trailer. 150 vs 250 size truck.
I had the Ford ESP on my 2011 F250, diesel, twice . Towed a 5th wheel trailer. Used it twiceā¦1st on on radio failure and exhaust cooler thingie. Few years later, got another, this time marked as used vehicle. Never had to use it. Had this diesel truck 12 yrs, 96k miles. Sold camper, traded F250...
Mobile service in my driveway. Recall is done, closed. Now I need to see that on Ford Pass it gets logged in by dealer, and Ford.
Asked tech if another new recall out there. He says they havenāt seen anything yet. So I sit and wait if get letter from Ford.
Cheers!
Refer to your vehicle manual. Instructions there to silence the chime. Or do search here, this site for what others done.
i took instructions from here, was able to get rid of the driverās chime. The passenger side, however, not successful.
Truck has almost 1,600 miles. Now hearing rattle, but sounds like coming from center console, under it. I wear hearing aid, but wife hears everything. I asked can you find that rattle? What rattle she says. She says all vehicles rattle. Anyway, I took everything out the condole storage...
Just had my truck set with latest recall. Mobile tech took care of it in my driveway.
I asked about the latest recall, he says they haveāt seen anything yet. My reply is might see you back again, IF my VIN # affected by it, and Ford notifies me of this latest recall.
I said you did this first...
