  1. Front Axles Manufacturing Defects

Good to know that. I would be keen to know what is the difference between the two. And if the Tremor axles more robust, would a Ford dealer upgrade to the Tremor types over the std type of any Maverick?
  2. TPMS alert of low tire pressure, then other things happening

Not likely. Mine is EB model, and it started ok thereafter.
  3. Front Axles Manufacturing Defects

My truck now has 4K miles. Hate to say it, but if any CV axle fails on this truck, I will switch to a real rear differential axle powered truck. Basis for argument - it appears Ford doesn’t have any higher quality replacements CV axle. And it may not be a Ranger.
  4. TPMS alert of low tire pressure, then other things happening

Got in tuck to head to gym, got low tire pressure warning. Pass rear tire. Inspection reveals screw in tread. Oh boy! Only 13 psi in tire. Sensing slow leak, Put 35 psi air in to do gym. When drove out driveway couple things popped up on screens, needlessly - 1. Alert of passenger seat sensor...
  5. AAA Article on Advantages of using Tier 1 Fuel Brands

Many gasoline deliveries by various independent tank farms usually buy their fuel from local refineries. Any brand. Ever see a fueling truck at a Shell, Exxon, Mobil or whatever stations with the Shell, Exxon or Texaco logos on those refueling/distributors trucks? Fact - A Texaco tank farm...
  6. 20k miles.. 1 1/2 years and multiple seasons

Me too. Retired. I might have to add Stabalize/Starbrite fluid to gas to keep it fresh. LoL
  7. 20k miles.. 1 1/2 years and multiple seasons

You sure did. I telling my wife I don’t know why brought the truck, we could be a 1 vehicle family. She hauls lots of stuff in her Escape.
  8. 20k miles.. 1 1/2 years and multiple seasons

Will be 1 yo October. Almost 4,000 miles. LoL, I think oils gonna go stale.
  9. Love my Maverick…sick of the recalls!

Don’t Ind recalls, since mobile tech can do in my driveway, and I can watch over him. Now the recall on wiper motor cover, that may need to be done at dealer. Dealer ~5 mikes from home. Easy. I looked under the hood for that wiper motor, where I expected to be on firewall, can’t see it...
  10. How long should you keep your Maverick?

Many of my vehicles kept 10+ years. And kept outdoors, especially trucks. Weather gets to them. They go bald. Expect to keep this Maverick few years. But want to get it indoors. It will be 1 yo at end of Oct. So this fall, planning to reorganize our 2 car garage to try putting the Mav in the...
  11. URGENT - First Oil Change?

Surest bet is to get oil sampled. If “dirty”, then change it. Some argue the filter would clean the oil of particles. Question - if got oil sample from oil pan itself, sampled readings show metallic bits there, that’s odd if a filter cleaned it. Now I understand filter “microns“ ratings, so...
  12. Got my 2nd Blackstone oil analysis report in (2.0 EcoBoost)

Surprised viscosity low. Did sample on my truck at 1500 miles since new. Also did sample on wife’s 2017 Escape, and it’s viscosity low too. The oil is Motorcraft. So viscosity is out of range, yet Blackstone says should be ok. i pull my sample with oil barely warm, not hot. Blackstone says no...
  13. MPG WOW - EB

Did recent round trip…Houston to Baton Rouge displayed 34 mpg. Mostly interstate Hwy, cruise control set on 68 mph.
  14. Please Ford ....put a step on the side of the back bumper

Have no issue to get inside of the bed of the Maverick. I lean over, reach inside. Other trucks may differ, and one prob needs step, a ladder or whatever. In my old F250, made a graff hook to reach for objects in the bed. That truck sides, tailgate very high. Often used small step ladder to get...
  15. Ducks....we don't need no stinking ducks

3 for Me. Turn signal #1 Turn signal #2. Now, wiper motor cover Gasket. if they keep sending them, fix for free, have da time, n I not care. Mobile tech guy likes to visit me. Are we having fun yet?
  16. Small In Bed Tool Box

You are organized, no doubt. I prefer to keep back seat area uncluttered, useable for other reasons. I have a small floor Jack, a 12 vdc impact wrench in a case, torque wrench, and can’t see putting that In the back seat area. Hence, a small box that could fit in bed area, yet not take up too...
  17. Small In Bed Tool Box

Thanks for the info. I’m not keen for swing out side mounted box. Preference of inside the bed boc.
  18. 500K mile comparison between Synthetic and Conventional Oil on EcoBoost engine

I use Blackstone. Been using them for many years. Sampled my F250 diesel, wife’s Escape, and now the Mav. I purchased a brake bleeder kit, and use a poly flow plastic tube to insert into the dipstick tube. Able to suck oil out topside. Easier if want to see what the oil is sampling, not...
