I have two on order at two different dealerships (in two different states). When Ford announced the the SIBL was no longer constrained, and that you could get it plus the bed rail tie-down system for the price of just the SIBL, I sent text messages to the two salespeople, asking them to add...
I set up an account at Ford.com right after I placed my order (ever the optimist - Ha!), and FordPass uses that same ID and password. I would suggest you set your account up well before taking delivery - you'll have enough excitement that day! I also didn't realize at first that you could have...
Good idea, but we're in town, with a concrete driveway which has about a 20º up-slope until you enter the garage itself.
The good news is that turning auto-hold "OFF" (pushing the button with the hand - you know - the one that was staring me in the face this whole time!) worked perfectly. I...
I'm just a couple of weeks ahead of you with my Area 51 First Edition (Lariat). Like you, I'm a "bigger" guy (though not as tall) and find the Maverick cab quite comfortable! I drove an 800-mile trip and it remained comfortable, so not just a "feels good at first, but..." type of comfort. The...
Yeah, that's pretty similar to what I bought. Solid rubber - very heavy. Almost 5" tall, so you know when you hit it!
Plus, I've got some "stuff" in front of the Maverick that might cause damage to the Mav's paint if I plow into it...
Not. One. Single. Thing. (Loving the Maverick Lariat Hybrid!)
Previous vehicle was a 2012 Prius-C. Slow, uncomfortable, with an almost unviewable (day or night) center screen (where the nav system resided), and a really small fuel tank (just a hair over 9 gal) so even at 35-37 mpg on the...
Thanks, everyone! I don't know how I missed that after spending hours digging through the manual looking for a way to do it... I was even right there on that very page when I typed "The manual lists several ways to cause the system to switch off". One column to the left! Sheesh!
OK, MTC braintrust, I need your help. My garage is very small - the Maverick barely fits. I have a large rubber "stopper" so I know when I'm in far enough to clear the overhead door, but to NOT hit the wall in front of me. My driveway is fairly steep, so I have to let off the throttle when...
I guess the Lariat has just enough additional sound deadening to make it unobtrusive from inside the cab. I'll have to stand outside the cab and listen.
I'm pretty sure the 12V socket in the Maverick is only "active" when the vehicle is switched ON, and remains on after you switch the vehicle off for the same brief time period as the lights and radio stay on...
Because of the above, I seriously doubt you can use the aux power plug to charge...
Yeah, I knew better... Every truck we've gotten has become "her truck" shortly after arrival... This time around, I planned for that, and ordered one for each of us.
I went ahead and bought one off a local dealer lot (new Hybrid FE in Area 51) because I doubt Ford will be able to deliver...
And the "Advanced 4WD" is NOT the same as the non-Tremor "AWD" (All Wheel Drive). It's supposed to be a more "off-road" setup rather than an "always on, non-locking" setup the non-Tremor EB+AWD uses.
The "Hybrid" part of your order means you have roughly a 48% probability of getting a hybrid of any trim level. Ford took orders for 73% hybrids, and only planned capacity to produce 35% hybrids.
But the "XL" part of your order is also "over-subscribed", since Ford's projected capacity for 15%...
