I'm pretty sure the 12V socket in the Maverick is only "active" when the vehicle is switched ON, and remains on after you switch the vehicle off for the same brief time period as the lights and radio stay on... Because of the above, I seriously doubt you can use the aux power plug to charge...

I don't hear any "whine" when the ICE starts up on my Hybrid Lariat. Not at first start, or any other time.

And the "Advanced 4WD" is NOT the same as the non-Tremor "AWD" (All Wheel Drive). It's supposed to be a more "off-road" setup rather than an "always on, non-locking" setup the non-Tremor EB+AWD uses.

But your odds are still not all that great, since it's a hybrid order. (I'm facing the same thing, with TWO hybrids on order...)

To save writing it again, here are my thoughts on the Maverick after almost 2 weeks, and a little over 1100 miles... TLDR: I LOVE IT!

The "Hybrid" part of your order means you have roughly a 48% probability of getting a hybrid of any trim level. Ford took orders for 73% hybrids, and only planned capacity to produce 35% hybrids. But the "XL" part of your order is also "over-subscribed", since Ford's projected capacity for 15%...
