[Note: Edited to correct my terminology. I kept saying "AutoStop" when I meant "AutoHold."]
The following is NOT a fix, by any means, but a possible work-around...
I have a hybrid, but have experienced a similar, yet slightly different issue than the one you're discussing. I was having some...
Your deer story reminded me of a friend who picked up his brand new F-250 before coming to work in the hill country (near Fredericksburg). About a mile from work, a large buck ran out of the brush next to the road, and impaled its rack into his left rear door - literally punched through the...
Mine managed to hit a gigantic yellow School Bus - in the school parking lot, no less. "But Dad, it just appeared out of nowhere!" Fortunately, it was a very low-speed impact, and she only hit the bus' tire – but it was the rear tire. (o_O ) Her mom put a pair of BandAids on the bumper to...
My wife refused to drive our previous truck until it got its first "ding." (Some lumber blew into the side and put a tiny crease right behind the rear tire.)
Yesterday, she said she wants to test drive "her Maverick." I sense a "takeover" coming...
"But, honey, it doesn't have a...
Perhaps, but I've done many a search on dealer websites where there was no "Maverick" option in the pull-down, but when I typed it in the search box, one or more Mavericks showed up that were actually in stock and available for sale (always at a significant markup). Always confirmed by calling...
So, by that explanation, the guy in this forum who was cross-shopping (deciding between) a Honda Civic SI and the Maverick would get to claim that the Civic and Maverick are in fact "Direct Competitors" because they are going head-to-head for his purchase? In the immortal words of Arte Johnson...
I'd have to disagree with that... The Ridgeline is considerably more expensive, gets considerably worse fuel mileage, and is sized much closer to the mid-sized Colorado / Canyon / Ranger / Tacoma / Frontier trucks.
The only "similarity" between the Maverick and Ridgeline is that they're both...
And even if you DO find it on the dealer's web site, it still may not mean a thing... Many (most?) dealer's web sites are just a plain vanilla copy of the standard setup Ford gives them, and that standard config works just like the Ford.com site - shows every truck inbound or on the lot...
Why the snark? Did you actually read my post? I thought I was pretty clear when I stated "If you want a Maverick this year, and can afford the extra $2750 or so" in my post. (There, I bolded it in red for you...)
If you can't afford it, then walk away, and live with the fact that you won't...
If you want a Maverick this year, and can afford the extra $2750 or so, accept the truck and be happy. If you reject it, your dealership will likely sell it within a few days for well over MSRP to someone who actually wants a truck this year... And you'll have to wait until the 2024 order banks...
Wow! You have a CyberTruck? Please post pictures of it, including the interior. Try as I might, I cannot find any pictures other than the "pre-release" press conference of an actual one, and even the Tesla web site seems to not show "real" pictures...
We had a Chevy that was a color very much like this - maybe a few shades darker. It never really got old during the 5+ years we had the truck. Did get a bit tired of washing it all the time, but Area 51 is a bit lighter, and definitely does not show dirt as badly as the color we had before.
If neither of my two Hybrid Lariat Mavericks get delivered, we will just hang onto the '22 FE that I picked up as an "insurance policy" for that very case... My wife will continue driving her Impala.
But if either one of them is delivered, we'll sell or trade the Impala for the new '23. If we...
It is possible (depending on where you and the dealership are located) that you could arrange to fly "space-available" onboard an Air Force flight from an AF base near you to an AF base near your dealership, then work something out for the remaining distance... If it's close enough, your...
One comment, based on having used a hard tri-fold cover for years... It can be very frustrating when you put something in your truck bed that is 1/4" taller than the bottom of the cover, and the cover absolutely will not latch... It forces you to drive with the cover open, or to remove the...
You can get a written offer from CarMax for your vehicle by using the VIN. Do that the day before you are slated to take delivery at your dealer so it's a current offer. Then you'll know exactly how CarMax would value your truck, and so would the dealer.
Let's assume it costs you MSRP +...
Got the DeeZee tailgate assist (installed), black letters for the tailgate (installed), a D-Ring Tie-Down to replace the bottle opener removed for the tailgate assist (installed), and a wireless CarPlay adapter (not yet installed - ran out of time - on the agenda for tomorrow).
Really loving...
I drove our Hybrid Lariat from Cedar Park (N of Austin, TX) to Plano (N of Dallas, TX) for Christmas – a distance of about 190 miles. On the way up, it was between 8º and 11º (depending on which weather report you choose to believe) and the wind was a direct headwind at a steady 20 mph...
