  2. How long should I let it idle?

Too bad there’s no oil temperature gauge. Keep in mind whenever engine shutdown occurs, no more heat going on. And fluids begin cooldown pretty quick. But I wish for a post lube pump to circulate oil.

On February 20, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration issued NHTSA Campaign Number: 26V104000: Trailer Lighting and Brakes May Not Function. Sounds scary, especially if the trailer brakes stop working on one of those Super Duty trucks rated to pull freight-train loads while it’s...

Ok, to all, i think there’s enough pow wow about this. May remove this in day or two. And decide if I keep this truck. I feel need not pay for a maintenance due to bad design.

  9. 2023 EB w Direct Injection, Intake Valves - warranty coverage?

Agree. In DI engines fuel does not flow thru intake valves. The design has pluses and minus, not perfect. Like a campfire, the wood condition ascertains if there’s smoke or not.

In my opinion, Ford did redesign, like other vehicle mfr did to their engines. And pin any valve cleaning as maintenance chore item. Really? !!! This whole DI biz is about Cafe mileage rating. And some saying dirty valves means poor performance, and maybe GPM.

Not one as easy like changing oil n filter. Seen anther post where an owner removed intake, blasted his valves with walnut and blaster tools. Obviously his shop equipped to do his own maintenance chores. I have decent ā€shopā€ with can do capability. But age creep not kind to me. I keep...

It’s no secret the 2023 EB engines will see messy intake valves once mileage put on them. Then depending on how engine maintained, comes a time the valves will need cleaning, probably blasted with walnut shells. And it’s no secret the new 2025+ EB engine are now fitted with intake manifold...

Why this matters for your $1,100 quote: There is a history of Ford's electronic throttle bodies (ETBs) failing due to "internal motor contact contamination," which triggers the P2111and P2112 codes you received. TSB 16-0139 was a massive bulletin for earlier Ford 2.0L engines dealing with this...
