everyone on this thread should have started out as EB with this offer. A couple of us converted to Hybrid during mid-September. I'm scheduled for 5/20. We really benefitted from Granger turning down new 23 orders (prevented Ford from scheduling vehicles ahead of us, due to constraints)...
Am seeing a lot more Mavs in the wild. 6 months ago, one a week was typical. Now, I see 3-4 every day. Keep it up, you will find something, and prices are bound to soften as well.
The mid-September order that you signed will be your pricing...less the PCO for a rollover order.
Any changes you have made since that order are priced at the time of the change.
Granger doesn't do pricing shenanigans. Also, they diligently search for any rebates that they can apply (my...
I suspect no one cares a whole lot after the dollars have been exchanged between true private party ownership and a dealer. The agreement simply protects Granger (and other dealers that have the same agreement) from repercussions related to being involved in flipping vehicles.
Since Granger...
I admire your thinking and I'm sure you will be happy with the VW. There are plenty of nice cars out there now. We are in a great period for tech, efficiency, comfort, safety. Enjoy!
staunch Granger defender here too. If I was them, I also wouldn't want greedy flippers attempting to take advantage of my fairness. They are a small town, friendly company, and flippers should simply avoid doing business with them.
Yes, me too! May 15th build.
I think I will be checking w/Granger soon too. Not to confirm, but to get the PCO connected to the VIN. I read somewhere that the PCO had an April 3rd expiration (though I believe Ford Video Guy said it would stay valid, just require a bit of leg work to get...
Ding ding! Finally scheduled today. Build week 5/15. Cactus Grey XLT Hybrid/Lux/360/SIBL/Cleat Kit/Sliding Rear Window/Floor liners w/o carpeted mats.
A late June/July vacation to Mid West sounds great!
Now the rest of the Granger orders need to get scheduled. Hang in there.
Ding Ding! Finally 420 days later am scheduled.
First off got the "Dear John" email at 5:29PST. So wasn't expecting this. Plenty of constraints: hybrid, trailer hitch, full size spare. The key: Granger didn't take any 2023 orders. They chose to focus on getting the '22's delivered that...
Am hoping the ratio of Mav to BS gets reversed. 12k BS to 8k Mav goes to 12k Mav and 8k BS.
Sales and order actualities say this needs to go forth. It would be a mistake to keep pumping out the BS, with dealer inventories growing daily. Granger has 31 BS sitting on their lot. 0 Mav.
It fits us perfectly. We do not want a black interior (way too hot here in central CA). The 1.5 engine is plenty powerful enough and a workhorse for Ford around the world. It only uses 2 cylinders on the highway at normal speeds on flat terrain; the 3rd is deactivated. Lots of reports of it...
Agreed. Many of the retail mav orders are high end units pushing $30k. Very decent profit margins. Ford could easily build and sell thousands of high end units and they would all sell quickly if MSRP was the price.
I like this explanation! That begs the question, why is Ford building so many BS's when the demand is so much smaller than the Mav? I get the supply chain and constraint issues, but surely a lot more Mavs could be built now. The monthly production numbers that were just released show 7000 and...
being a rollover myself, the order number did not change from the '22 to the '23. Ford absolutely knew (and still does) what they were dealing with.
For those that did not have the dealer do the transition correctly, they are the ones having the transition private offer issues as Ford cannot...
I think it more likely that all 80,000 will be Maverick, due to the 3rd shift being added. My take on this is that there is one shift for each model, the 3rd shift will be dedicated to the Mav line.
Also, the Bronco Sport sales are greatly slowing down. There are tons of BS's sitting on...
When do you think we will know something about the 2024 Ranger? Order banks opening in April, but prices? engine options? Everything still under tight wraps.
