just 3 rollover trucks left to get scheduled!
Signed docs today. Zero problems -- Granger found the transitional private offer for 22-23 rollovers, and I was able to get an additional $500 Farm Bureau rebate.
At the end of the day, the window sticker was $29,595. After 1 1/2 years of...
Here's hoping Granger gets rewarded with dozens of dealer stock trucks with the additional allocations they should be getting. Granger has been super to work with.
ya, it is not legit. But, a curious way of doing things for sure. I've looked at their web site dozens of times in the last 1 1/2 years and this is the first time I've seen sold retail customer orders displayed this way.
Nothing so far. I do see it on the Granger web page, complete with photos, VIN and window sticker with a "sold" sign at $129k and change. They took all the sold vehicles and added $100k to the price.
Not true, there are many posts regarding electronics for all hitches. There are even recalls related to lighting issues due to the module. The 4 pin is more than just splicing into existing wires.
Allocations, allocations, allocations....check with your dealer and see how many orders remain, and how many allocations they have been getting a month. Then see if you can get them to reveal your position in the queue.
Many dealers sold hundreds of Mavs, and have been only getting a handful...
I like the fact that it says the vehicles affected were not produced in VIN order. So, that does mean date range can be the deciding criteria. And, "built" date is what is specified, not "in production". So May 19th + vehicles should be good.
email from Granger today with the good news of Mav arrival. But, due to the logjam of vehicles that they have to process, it is 2-3 weeks out for release date. So the estimate of 30-40 days out from ship to pick up date is about right, at this time.
My understanding on how this works: they wouldn't ship them out of Hermosillo if the post 5/18 units were bad or missing something. Every module/component has to pass QA before they put it on a railcar. Last year, the Hermosillo lots were full of trucks missing something. But, this is all...
Thanks for confirming that. So, it won't just be a hard date (eg 5/18) since the recalls are done by VINS. My VIN at 41899 for a 5/19 built, and yours 493XX with a 5/18 build, definitely more to this story on which engines are good. Nothing showing on the VIN tracker for me (yet). Really...
The CMAX uses a very similar engine (built in consultation with Toyota who used these Atkinson cycle hybrid engines in their Prius). But it is a 2.0l, not a 2.5.
Let's see if we can get 5/19 VIN numbers as a starting point (or not).
Mine is 41899 and I suspect it is a very early VIN. Much higher VINS were scheduled for the same day. I'm not sure how Ford will use a VIN number as a cutoff. Eg, since there were higher VINs built on 5/18, so they...
from the posts I have read, the only issue mentioned related to possible engine failure with the 2.5l has been the damper/balancer shudder. And maybe only a couple engines have been pulled in by Ford for further inspection.
I can't imagine why Ford would continue building and shipping vehicles...
My VIN for that May 19th build is 41899. There were many, many hybrids scheduled on the same date as mine that had VINS way up there, 45000 and more. Mine evidently slated to be built, but not scheduled, for sometime. With that low of a VIN, I have my suspicions that I will make the cut.
So we have a 2015 CMAX Energi PHEV. The bigger electric motor, and bigger battery, keep the car running very peppy in all-electric mode clear up to 65mph.
It's a very nice "preview" of how a PHEV Mav would work. The 7.6kwh battery gives about 20miles all electric. If a PHEV Mav ever comes...
Mine is showing "built" on 5/19. Started 5/17. No ship date showing yet. The tracker is not fully accurate on this timeline. Granger has more current dates on shipping. For my BS they were able to see the location.
