XLT Lux seats. The cloth/power/lumbar and 8 way adjustment on the driver's are the best seats we have ever had. Hands down. These are heated too but untested so far.
We bought the same combo for our Bronco Sport. Convenience package with the 8way cloth power seats..
In our book, seats and...
getting way off original topic, and there are many discussion on the bronco sport forum regarding the 1.5l. What I find very interesting about the engine is that it actually shuts down one cylinder on the highway. The 3 cylinders become 2 operating cylinders. 1.0 liter of engine is all that...
The BS 1.5l is inferior mileage vs the hypothetical 2.5hybrid AWD. Unfortunately, there is not a "best of both" option right now, and the Escape drivetrain not likely to move south for the next couple years.
So, we do the best we can. My BS/AWD/1.5l meets the criteria for AWD. Meanwhile the...
We have a 1.5l BS. Plenty adequate for our needs, and much better mileage than the 2.0l. The 1.5l is a worldwide standard engine for Ford. It's the US market where consumer focus is on horsepower.
The Escape isn't built in Hermosillo, so an introduction of an AWD hybrid version to that...
That's an interesting idea, but would mean Ford would build non-AWD Bronco Sports. That would take away the DNA for that vehicle and mean suspension changes. I know everyone wants the hybrid 4wd vehicle, but apparently not happening for a bit.
Thanks! That's the prodding I needed. New phone ordered. While AT&T may be a poor service, I was getting zero bars at my work store with T-mobile (a dead spot, no towers near this rural site).
4years old, running on Android 8.0. The phone has been solid and consistent until about 2 months ago when I added the app. Back to solid after shutting it down.
It's hard to know why it would require so many phone resources, maybe a communication issue with the vehicles or GPS? Out here in...
I have two Fords now on my Fordpass app, a BS and a Mav. My android phone has periods of grinding to a halt! I started shopping for a new phone, and while checking settings on my old phone and comparing to new phones, found that Fordpass was quite active and using up a lot of RAM.
Since...
I had to get a weight certificate to register my out-of-state purchased XLT Hybrid/Lux/SIBL full size spare. With about 2 gallons shy of a full tank, the certified weight was 3,720lbs.
I did read about that issue early on. I think it has been fixed (or reprogrammed).
I'm not a fan of remote starting. We live on a farm with lots of cats. They have no forewarning to get out of dodge when a remote start is used. It is never seriously cold here in central CA, and I have no...
The W8E0 is the model designation for the hybrid. Ford hiked prices around Feb-March, so those prices appear on the window sticker. Actual price though is the contract price (Sept 2022).
They have the last 3 orders already with VIN's, so those will get built as '23 MY.
The various discounts:
$1750 from the Ford rollover PCO
$500 from Farm Bureau
$3000 off MSRP from Granger
That's $5250... then there was a $400 MSRP price hike on the window sticker for W8E0 MAVERICK XLT FWD...
Mine has finally shipped! It went out via a Montway contracted carrier yesterday, 7/7. Montway backed up big time. Scheduled to arrive 7/10. It will be great to finally get the vehicle. I've had black Friday rollup and rack sitting here for months.
Granger has been super the whole...
I think this is a bit harsh, fordvideoguy and his crew have done a huge service to the Maverick community. They assumed that they "should" get the same number of allocations as vehicles sold the prior year. I deliberately avoided the use of the word 'greed' as I'm not going to judge honest...
Zach posted it today but did not say exactly when they received their allocations:
"We received enough allocation to cover our 3 remaining retail orders on the final Maverick allocation and build out for 2023."
Granger has 3 unscheduled 2022 rollovers. After that, they should be getting dealer stock. I'm glad they will get rewarded for choosing to not take new 2023 orders, a decision they said they made because the 2023 allocation formula was unclear. I feel for all the overbooked Mav orders...
I hope you realize that this discussion is specific to Granger orders. The "3" left is correct per Zach with Granger. Granger did not take new orders for 2023 Mavs, due to allocation concerns. Sure, I understand your post regarding Mavs in general with US dealers.
Was contacted by Granger on 6/17 and signed docs same day. Wiring money over today or tomorrow, and will schedule a transporter for next week. They said 2-3 weeks wait due to the backlog of vehicles in front of me.
Have they contacted you yet?
