My AFE is set to 970 after two adjustments. Seems to be pretty darn accurate now. You can really tell the penalty you pay for highway driving or hauling stuff.
No pictures (for reasons that should be obvious later), but I picked up a new planer and stand for my workshop on Wednesday, and brought them home. While assembling the stand, I thought I was experiencing heat exhaustion, which didn’t get better with normal treatment, so we called 911. EMTs...
Got “the call” from my dealer to let me know my Cyber Orange (with BAP) beauty has arrived. They are doing the ceramic coating this afternoon no tomorrow, so it will be ready for me Friday. Pics from the dealer.
Must be that "new math" people keep talking about... 🤪
You posted on July 1st, and according to my "old school" math, there is only one month between July 1st and August 1st... Of course, if they mean August 31st, that could be considered two months... But four months? To quote Al Borland...
I own a hybrid, which is driven strictly on-road, so I'm not in the market for a lift. But if I was, FlatOut Suspension would be on my short list. In fact, right now they would be the only ones on that list.
Engineering and quality matters... My Maverick may be a "less expensive" truck...
That makes sense, given your situation. I just moved from rural Texas to the Austin area. When we lived in the sticks, we had zero cell coverage, other than by using a directional antenna in one upstairs bedroom... That got us a signal that was barely strong enough to get 4G internet service...
Subtle, but definitely eye-catching. I saw the photo before I really read the thread title, and thought "Something's different - what?" Made sense once I read it... Looks good in white. Not so sure it would be that nice with other colors, but WTHDIK?
Out of curiosity, what kind of phone are you using that doesn't have Wi-Fi? (Or us there some other reason why Wi-Fi connection to the Android Auto is "useless" to you?)
I find the wireless (Wi-Fi) CarPlay adapter works extremely well with my iPhone...
Too bad they don't send something similar (or anything at all, for that matter) when your "scheduled" Maverick gets "un-scheduled" after you've received the "Yippee, you're Maverick is scheduled..." email...
I would bet that is a "lawyer-generated" statement to avoid issues where someone is using Sport Mode on glare ice, and blames Ford for their ensuing crash (loss of control). After all, what would be the "intended condition" for Sport Mode?
Absolutely not. All it's doing is changing the ratio...
Well, since you drive an Ecoboost, I can understand your comment. The EcoBeast is fun, Fun, FUN to drive hard - but you do pay for that fun. 💸 I decided I couldn't afford the speeding tickets and tire wear (not to mention gas) that kind of "spirited" driving seems to bring with it (at least...
That's a lot like asking "How long does it take to dig a hole?" (What size hole? How deep? What type of soil/rock? What equipment do you have?)
In general, it should take about a month from Mexico to a Houston (or Austin or Dallas) dealership. But that can vary WILDLY depending on rail car...
Yeah, it would be SO much simpler if we (the US) joined the rest of the world (and the US scientific community) in switching to the metric system...
On "another forum" (about airplanes) there was this one guy who loved to "stump the band" so when he was asked for his typical cruise speed, he...
You sure? I thought it was "genuine" vinyl... (Just messing with you - I know what you meant.)
I was actually quite surprised to find I like the ActiveX material on the Lariat seats. It is quite soft and supple, and doesn't get as hot as the old vinyl seats I used to have in the "OG"...
From everything I've read, the issue is related to a crankshaft journal that is polished incorrectly, thereby potentially causing the crankshaft bearing to fail. The "loud bang" is the crankshaft bearing failing, taking the crank and/or piston rod with it. The oil and coolant leak would be...
Seems like the comments from all four cities (Seattle, Chicago, Houston, and Charlotte) were not much different, so I don't think it was just "a bunch of Texans ... who only understand MPG".
It's kind of like the difference between "miles per gallon" and "liters per 100 km" metrics... If I...
