  1. Confusion: 12v Battery Connections Under the Hybrid Hood

I've also got a Class C MH, but mine is on the Chevy E450 chassis. I put a 12V solar charger on the "house" battery because it has more parasitic drain the the "truck chassis" battery... But I also have a Trik-L-Charge that will use any excess power from the solar charger to top off the...
  2. Confusion: 12v Battery Connections Under the Hybrid Hood

There have been several hybrid owners reporting that their vehicle came with an AGM 12V battery. I suspect it's luck of the draw in these "supply constrained" times... I would NOT buy a battery maintainer that couldn't handle AGM batteries.
  3. Confusion: 12v Battery Connections Under the Hybrid Hood

I saw a statement the other day that the average car today has over a mile of wiring... Even the gasoline-only cars run on electricity! LOL
  4. Confusion: 12v Battery Connections Under the Hybrid Hood

I'm pretty sure that Ford says to NOT connect ANYTHING directly to the battery, because there is a BMS (battery management system) slightly upstream from the battery which measures the "inputs" and "outputs" from the battery, and controls the charging of the 12V battery from the High Voltage...
  5. 🗓️ Maverick Scheduling This Week (4/20/23) For Production Weeks Through 6/26

Hey - I didn't say it made sense... Just that it was what I had heard...
  6. 🗓️ Maverick Scheduling This Week (4/20/23) For Production Weeks Through 6/26

I've heard that it's actually the 4-pin harness that is short on supply. They just didn't order as many as they need for the "non-package" hitch add-ons... But that and $7 will get you a cup of coffee at Starbucks...

Fortunately, he had a good sense of humor - but not so good that he didn't swear me to secrecy as a condition of getting me back home from the trip we were on together... LOL I'm sure he was kidding. Well, mostly sure. But I never did tell the story until after he passed!
  8. Blue Window Sticker?

Yeah, I bought a rejected order Hybrid First Edition back in November. I finally got a VIN on 4/13 (supposedly scheduled for the week of 6/5). Thankfully, I don't have to hold my breath. If I liked the Area 51 color better, I might just keep the one I've got - but I'm obsessed with the Cyber...
  9. 25K miles without tire rotation -- tread measurements for factory 18” Michelin Primacy A/S tires

I'm retired, and my wife claims I'm "obsessed" with the Maverick. I prefer to say I'm "an enthusiast"... LOL There's a fine line there, I'm sure... (PS - seen any of GPSman's posts? That guy makes me look like a casual bystander!)
  10. Model Year 2024 Maverick Order Banks Open 7/17 and Production Starts 10/17

Just a "heads up" that Ford has publicly stated that there will be NO rollover orders carried forward from '23 to '24. You (or more accurately - your dealer) will need to re-order your truck for '24 model year. If I were you, I'd make an appointment NOW for the moment the dealership opens...
  11. 🗓️ Maverick Scheduling This Week (4/20/23) For Production Weeks Through 6/26

Yep, if you'd ordered sober bread, you could be eating sandwiches now - in your hybrid truck! (Just kidding with you - I can see the old "auto-incorrect" got you again!)
  12. Pretty sure I am waiting for nothing

So you're basically saying: "I got lucky, so all the thousands of people reporting issues must be full of crap!" Or was there another point to your post that I didn't quite understand? Because there are literally hundreds of people who ordered well before you did that are still waiting on...
  13. My maverick now has salvage surname.

I doubt you could get aftermarket warranty on a salvage-title vehicle without paying through the nose for it. Insurance companies have access to the same data that CarFax uses, and that VIN will be reported as having a Salvage Title (or perhaps a "Repaired from Salvage" title, if that's the...
  14. My Maverick didn't come with everything I wanted.

You made a very bold, assertive statement. Can you provide any documentation to substantiate that position? Just curious, as what I have also observed folks with "regular" CC (and even no CC) closing up behind a slower moving vehicle (here in Texas it's usually an 18-wheeler on an uphill...
  15. i accidentally made this thread [NO POLITICS, NO OFFENSIVE POSTS, NO NSFW]

That's almost as funny as when my buddy (deceased now, so my sworn promise to never tell anyone about it is moot) was teaching me how to correctly "dump" an RVs black and gray water tanks by demonstrating with HIS camper. He was the "expert" on all things RV-related, and I was a first-time RV...
  16. Pretty sure I am waiting for nothing

Too true! I had to add the "6-D link bed connectors" after the initial order went in, because I initially missed that they were no longer part of the package. The other items I caught myself when the order guide came out AFTER the order window had opened. (Another truly dumb move by Ford!)...
  17. My maverick now has salvage surname.

Not sure a body-on-frame truck fares a whole better in these situations, as far as insurance goes... I've had two full-size trucks that had seemingly minor accidents that tweaked one of the frame rails (a RAM and a Chevy), and both were totaled because neither manufacturer would allow the frame...

I don't know whether to laugh, or cry... But some of you guys are damn funny!
  19. Burning smell when going downhill

I think we're all "assuming" you have a Hybrid, since you mentioned regenerative braking (unique to the hybrid), but could you please update your profile to reflect Hybrid or Ecoboost? (And perhaps create a signature with more specifics about your truck?) That would help us to better help you...
