It's been written about before, but the ICE isn't "stone cold" because if it's actually "cold" the ICE does a warm-up when you first turn the truck on, and if needed (cold weather) the ICE runs periodically to keep all the fluids warm - even if the HVB does not need recharging.
Second, when...
What is your source for that information? I've experienced the situation where "no XML file is created", but when I've talked to the folks at Ford Customer Service, they keep telling me it should be created, and that it could take over a month for my vehicle to show as updated. I updated to...
Yep - horses for courses! In the mid-70's, I owned a VW Karmann Ghia. Mechanically, other than having a slightly lower center of gravity, it was basically a VW Beetle. Mine was "well worn" to say the least, and had severely oxidized red paint that looked more "orange" than red... A totally...
Well, tell all of us who have received recall notices through the Ford app and website that "there is no recall ... yet." There is a recall, just no repair identified as of yet.
Wouldn't have mattered, in his case, since he was already scheduled. The "cancel non COVP" notice specifically stated that "unscheduled" orders would be changed to priority 99 for a week, then deleted if the dealer didn't complete the COVP.
Same happened with mine. Scheduled, showed "in production" with a build week in June on the tracker, then went back to "order confirmed" status with no build week. However, calls / texts to Customer Support indicate it is still slotted for that same week in June. I think the tracker is just...
Apparently, a total of 23 vehicles that use the 2.5L engine have had "catastrophic engine failures" (cause unknown). I have not read of any actual fires occurring, but Ford is being extra-cautious because they already had to go to court over the first recall. That case was thrown out of court...
Yep, that's a beautiful truck! But let me be clear - it's the Area 51 Maverick (nice as it may be) that someone else will get when my Cyber Orange Lariat Hybrid with BAP order comes in!!! There's just no other color that "shines" like the Cyber Orange!
Mine is "in production" at the factory...
"Alfa Romeo vibes"... Is that a "good thing" or a "bad thing?" Just kidding with you. I think they're pretty cool as well, so you're not the ONLY one...
The picture you posted is of the center dash display screen. While there are several configuration options located there, some are located in the Sync 3 screen – the one in the center of the dash, where the ugly "cubby" is located. Other settings can be found only there.
In my earlier...
Well, I ordered Cyber Orange, but found an Area 51 as a place-holder... It's grown on me, but still nowhere near the appeal of the Cyber Orange for me! Someone is going to get a nice truck when my CO arrives!
I picked black letters because they look best on both Area 51 and Cyber Orange. But with other paint options, I would likely choose other lettering colors as "best." In any case, IMHO pretty much ANY color lettering looks better than the "blank" look.
All Mavericks are built in Hermosillo, Mexico. Until this morning, I understood that 100% of the 2.5L engines are also built in Chihuahua, Mexico.
But earlier today, I saw a post purporting to show a "vehicle contents source" for a Maverick (but it was a close-up that wasn't verifiable to...
I'm in Cedar Park, but I'm in Round Rock quite a bit: '22 Area 51 First Edition - soon to be replaced with a '23 Cyber Orange Lariat being built this week!
Roadking, that was continuing the "joke" with GPSman, where he was using Star Trek phrases... He has a legit "weird" noise in his engine, and I was just saying I would take it to a dealer ASAP, but to drive gently (which GPSman ALWAYS does, because he averages about a jillion miles per...
Dude has never driven a Maverick hybrid, admits that fact, says he cannot evaluate how the 2.5 liter engine interfaces with the electric drive system, then proceeds to do exactly that...
My Maverick hybrid behaves nothing like Charlie's description. It doesn't go straight from 0...
Yes. My truck showed "all clear" until yesterday afternoon, when the recall showed up. It's just taking Ford a while to get all of the vehicles that are eligible for the recall actually "registered" for the recall.
Meanwhile, I'm not sweating this one much. If I hear "clanking sounds" from...
Nope. That would be called a felony theft here in Texas. Dealer cannot place a hold on YOUR vehicle. Ford only placed the hold on vehicles THEY (and the dealer) own.
