Took a few pics for reference. The stud is about an 1/8 of an inch from protruding so still some room. Also with the FX4 wheels having the “pockets” on the back on the wheel you could easily go a little smaller than what I have now. Which is what I plan on doing to the front.
I believe I mentioned that I planned on doing flares at some point, these are less than 1.5 inch and I didn’t have to cut any lug off either just FYI.
35mm which is roughly an inch and 3/8s. Plan on doing 30mm on the front at some point with probably a set of fender flares just haven’t gotten that far yet.
I was on the fence about these for a while and finally ordered some. They are very well made and had really good customer service. I know this is a hit button topic for some and if it is I don’t need to see the “RIP wheel bearing” comments lol I get it, they aren’t for everyone but I’m really...
How long has it been doing that? I’d be cautious about driving it unless it’s straight to the dealer. The RDU don’t take a lot of fluid and you could do more damage if it’s almost out.
This is why I do my own servicing. Oil changes are extremely easy on the Mav with simple tools and it ends up being cheaper if you have a spare 45 minutes. My brother used to work for Ford dealership and I’ve heard way too many lazy half ass stories about their techs.
I personally just use an air compressor but to each their own. I know people do it but I’m not a fan of spraying water all over the motor. You can take a clean rag with some degreaser and get it looking like newish. Just my opinion
I’ve dabbled with the lane keep, lane centering feature but I find that mind tends to bounce kinda back and fourth between the lines, like it doesn’t wanna drive straight-ish but it’ll drift towards center and then correct but it basically over corrects and then it’s just bouncing around. Just...
Agreed, mine didn’t either when I first went to drive it after they told me it had finally got delivered. I don’t think mine is necessarily getting “worse” but like you said I’m partial to thinking we know it’s there and it’s more of an anticipation thing more than anything. My wife drives it a...
I don’t want to have to go back through all the replies from the various threads about this but I’m pretty positive there was one or possibly even two people saying that ford agreed to replace the RDU on theirs and it did not fix the issue. So at this point I dk what to do or to even do anything...
Various owners are having whatever this issue is and it seems that nobody can find out or figure out what it is. Mine makes that sound as well but it’s at the 13mph mark. I had planned on taking it to the dealer but I haven’t had an opportunity. I’ve seen post though stating that some owners...
I wouldn’t go off the OLM. Change it now and then reset one of your trip counters and change every 5k with full synthetic. Your turbo will thank you. That’s how I keep up with mine personally.
I pay no attention to the OLM. I reset my trip when I do an oil change and change it at 5k. Running an oil change close to 10k is overkill to me. Change it myself, cost about 60 bucks.
Going to set up an appointment for a recall I never did and while I’m there hopefully get somebody to check this issue some of us are having but just out of curiosity, out of the 16 people stating this happens to their trucks none of you guys have had it checked or anything yet?
It is really really odd though that this noise whatever it may be doesn’t seem to have any effect on the drivability of the truck at all. There isn’t any sound at all when accelerating at the 13mph either, it’s only when slowing. Just very strange.
I guess I’m going to suck it up and just make an appointment at the dealer, I was hesitant just because I know this will probably end up with the run around about how they didn’t see or hear anything out of the ordinary yada yada.
So with it being roughly 1/4 trucks experiencing this issue or whatever it is, it’s kinda surprising that anybody that’s taken theirs to the dealer that it’s not some kinda known thing by now.
I didn’t go through all the post but out of the people that do experience this what are the year...
Mine does it everytime but the intensity of it is pretty sporadic. Sometimes it’s fairly harsh sometimes I don’t notice. Slowing down gradually seems to make it seem more intense as apposed to somebody who waits till the last minute to apply brakes. I’m not one of those so I obviously noticed it...
