I find a person has to be careful with the indicated average fuel economy. It's usually a bit optimistic, but sometimes overly so. My last tank, I was showing 7.7 liters/100 kms, but after filling it hand calculated to 8.5. That's 27.7 US mpg, 33.2 Imp for us Canucks. That's combined, regular...
You hybrid guys, chiming in on an ecoBoost only thread... but can you tow!? That 4K tow package is pretty sweet. I repeatedly got 23 to 24 mpg (Imperial) towing this camper, around 20 mpg US.
... and with the AWD more useful in winter. I've been getting 7.3 liters/100 kms indicated...
Hi nunucello. I just shortened up an extension cord that I had kicking around. I'm 2nd winter into ownership ATM, have had the Maverick 14 months now, still all good, zero issues. Excellent winter wagon - LOVE that AWD system.
Another solution for hubcaps is OEM Ford Escape or Fusion hubcaps... if a set could be sourced at a reasonable price. I think they're decent looking, would look great on a Maverick:
I drove all last winter with the steelies. Never considered trim rings, but, If I could get a set of these OEM hubcaps from the XL cheap, and were guaranteed they fit my rims, I'd be tempted:
Paid $86 Cdn. Yes, that's cheap. I'm not a fan of using alloys in winter - they use a lot of road salt here in Winterpeg, mighty hard on vehicles... I actually spray and wipe the steel wheels down with WD-40 before putting 'em on. And yes, they came black, didn't paint 'em.
I found some inexpensive 17" hubcaps for the steelie rims and winter tires, not too bad looking! Seem to be very decent quality too, got 'em on sale at Amazon:

Seems as you get into larger wheel sizes...
Here's one solution to the problem of snow accumulation at the base of the windshield. Sure is a PITA scooping snow outta there, to clear around the wipers. The wife bought one of these windshield covers at Costco for her Corolla. Fits both her car, and the Maverick too. Works so well, went back...
Very interesting. Cross checking the brochure against the window sticker from my truck, it appears I got the upgraded 17" Unique wheels instead of XLT Standard... for no extra cost! I appreciate the (early production) error.
Android Auto similar, listening to YouTube music (free, not premium), I don't think you can go into a favorite folder and select on the fly.
Blame our nanny state and the lawyers.
Just thought I'd chime in with a short review and a few pics. Today is a full year ownership. I was lucky enough to snag one of the very first Mavericks to arrive up here in Winnipeg. I phoned around for availability at just the right time, as dealer received one more than expected, so not...
