Android Auto related... I can't get Coolwalk version to display, no splitscreen. My Samsung A70 is mid level phone, although it and the Android app are updated/current, won't work. That's one reason I want to update the head unit. Phone is probably too old.
I'm kind of having the same problem. Although I've managed to download the update at home once or twice, it just doesn't work. It wouldn't install, and doesn't seem to remember it downloaded, We recently got a new Wi-Fi router at home, and no difference. I tried again today, and couldn't get...
I'm a little sorry that I didn't splurge for the drop in bedliner. Dealer gave me 25% off accessories when we bought our Maverick, and all I opted for at that time was a tonneau. I've been using a rubber mat on the bed, have been waiting for Weathertech to have their bed mat available...
Could probably get $150 to $200ish selling locally on Kijiji. Good market here in the city for used tires. I've got Michelin IceX snow tires for both the Maverick and the wife's car, bought used, not much wear, saved big. Not much wear on my OEM tires, I drive pretty easy!
I'm guessing the thin light flexible tire carcass contributes to a softer ride? I run 28 PSI, don't find the ride very soft, but I guess probably is compared to actual heavy duty (and heavy!) truck tires.
I've had our Maverick 3 months shy of two years now, have just under 13,000 kms on it now, and half that time on different rims and snow tires. Was just detailing the OEM Continental tires, noted depressions on the sidewalls on two tires. I don't think this a safety issue, and wonder if a dealer...
Every once in a while I'll get fantastic fuel economy. Two days ago, we did big loop in the country, lots of highway, saw 6.7 liter/100 kms indicated. Did some more local driving, gassed it up today, so hand calculated actual. 6.9 combined indicated turned out to be 7.1 actual, 33.1 mpg US...
Exactly. We've had our Maverick for 18 months already, and driven it thru two winters. Easy acceleration, minimizing boost, is key to good fuel economy. Keeping the highway speed down helps huge. I normally drive 100 km/h (62 mph), and if there's no headwind, we usually see 7.6 to 7.7 (or...
Had trouble updating head unit first time I tried. Just couldn't get the download to progress beyond 0%. Tried again today, just a few minutes ago, got a 100% download... and it just sat there, so I did the reset/reboot. I switched the truck off, checked the software version - no change. How...
Wynex brand Molle system stuff from Amazon. Got full size binoculars there, first aid kit, small tarp shelter, tent ropes & stakes, para-cord, hatchet etc. I have "go" bags under the seat with stove, emergency food and stuff.
I actally applied for new passport, and when I get it in my hands intend to order the GFC camper topper combo. Checking their website builder gallery, see they've sold at least 6 units to Maverick owners:
Thnx, I really appreciate that insight. We have an older (first year!) T@B teardrop camper, size and weight wise, very comparable to the Scamp. I won't take that camper down gravel roads backcountry tho, why I'm looking at the alternatives. We've done our share of tent camping, and still do...
Lumonix, you've sure got me thinking hard about getting one of the GFC platform campers! How was it for waterproofness, both open and closed? If you are driving thru heavy pouring rain for example, does it stay dry inside? Also, set up for camping, how is it in high winds, driving rain, and...
