The high pass filter is actually soldered on the OEM tweeter itself. Since the tweeters are fed from the front door speaker signals, I am not sure there is any other way for Ford to do it. Maybe there is something else between the door and the dash...
Not me, but there is definitely a resemblance... 😀
I rarely drive at speeds that would get me pulled over, but I am stopped every 6-9 months and given a warning for not having a front license plate. 🤷♂️
The tweeters on the sides of the dash are essentially the same install process whether B&O or not.
I don't have any experience with that Metra model, but it looks like it is meant to hook to the dash harness at the tweeter and then to the tweeter itself. If it were me, I'd splice the...
Did you see this one? https://www.mavericktruckclub.com/forum/threads/upper-dash-tweeter-speaker-replacement-diy-how-to-video.5020/
Like you say, I think plenty of people have replaced the tweeters without adding any crossovers and had good results.

Nope, but Crutchfield does sell other MATCH products. They generally seem pricey.
The Kicker Key 200.4 has DSP and 50Wx4 RMS and is less than $300, and at some point I think you have to consider what kind of head unit signal you're getting.

To clarify, “keyless entry” has nothing to do with the keypad. It is the “touch the door handle to lock/unlock” ability like the Lariats had in MY24 - the XLTs never got that until MY25 refresh.
My 2023 XLT Lux does have the keypad, same as yours.
It's been on my truck for the better part of a year. ;)
I temporarily bent the deflator "teeth" out of the way with the plan of eventually cutting them off. Several folks have these true full-size spares WITHOUT modification, but I was a bit of a worry-wort when it came to the clearance I...
There wasn't any way to get keyless entry on the XLT in 2023, even with Lux. These pre-facelift trucks had to have been the last mash-up of heated-steering-wheel luxury and old-time key-twist ignition. :D
If you have an iPhone or Android phone, you can easily stream the SXM app into the stereo over USB, but you have to have cellular signal and unlimited (or generous) data. The SXM streaming-only plan that I have is $5 a month.
Otherwise there are options that are way less than $2500...
