  1. Definitive EQ fix in the lariat with a B&O system?

It is unlikely that there is a Forscan setting that will improve the sound to your liking without also adding an aftermarket signal processor. In other words, any OEM equalization currently programmed into the system is likely helping compensate for compromises in the cabin acoustics or speaker...
  2. Will the insurance company declare this a total loss?

As someone who also got a Maverick after their previous vehicle was totaled, congrats. :)
  3. That question When to do that oil change?

And you are assuming the odometer is correct. And that the oil in the jug is the oil you paid for. And that the oil you paid for does what it says. And that the filter you put in does what it is supposed to. And that the engine oil pump is doing what it is supposed to. And that the oil...
  4. That question When to do that oil change?

Well, that is indeed "your read," not necessarily Ford's. The table I posted from the manual says "when to expect the reminder," not "here are the conditions an owner should use to make his own determination." What we can assume from that is that the OLM already knows the temperature you're...
  5. How did the Tow truck driver disable my Ford App location?

It wasn't disabled. I believe the app used to be able to track the vehicle "live," while moving etc. The app no longer does that. It simply marks the location where the vehicle was last shut off. So in your case the truck was going to show up in that lot until someone restarted it...
  6. Recommendation for steering wheel wraps/covers

Surely there are links in these previous threads: https://www.mavericktruckclub.com/forum/search/6372419/?q=Steering+wheel+cover&c%5Btitle_only%5D=1&o=date
  7. That question When to do that oil change?

False. If the vehicle says it needs an oil change now, don't wait 5,000 miles. A few hundred miles here and there isn't going to make the engine explode, but 10,000 miles is a good average distance between oil changes based on the OLM. Going 50% beyond that is absolutely not a good idea.
  8. What are the circled items behind the seat of my 2025 XLT AWD 2.0?

Neither is audio related, and neither can be removed. I believe the silver one is image processing from the front camera, but I could be wrong. They can be relocated back there. Not sure what the question about the HVAC panel is, but yes, the head unit harnesses are accessed behind that...
  9. SLATE Truck Debut! Convertible From Pickup to SUV

I would assume the Leno video is the same one Admin posted in #229? But yeah, I consider his videos mostly infomercials, even if I like the car the video is about. I am envious of his collection, and I think he knows his stuff; it just never seems to come out in his videos.
  10. Blew my amp output for my dash corner speakers

Bummer. I wouldn't think the amp would be damaged just because there was no load. I would try every way I knew to reset it to see if it resolves - system reboot, battery off for a while, Forscan settings, etc... You probably could run components off the door speaker signals and send the...
  11. Okay, maybe there's something to this detergent thing?!?

I like how the cash-back reward from the Costco Visa can be direct deposit if it's big enough. Technically we are empty nesters, but I am looking forward to a nice $900 bump in the next few weeks. :sunglasses: As far as the gas stations, I think Costco does a pretty good job of recognizing...
  12. Recommendations for more aggressive tires than stock?

  13. Okay, maybe there's something to this detergent thing?!?

Sorry, but a lot of that is incorrect regarding turbocharged engines. Feel free to continue that narrative for your hybrid. Or course 87 octane won’t “ruin” either engine, but I don’t know that anyone is saying that.
  14. Mini truck wars!

That Chevy has too many fingers on its hand, if you get my drift. I assure you no mainstream manufacturer is going to make a single-cab mini truck with a blown V8 in it with no emissions whatsoever... but yes, it is nice to dream. 😀
  15. Keys can be locked in the truck.

Well, that's a shame. Most of us around here make no such promises. :D
  16. SOLIS Truck-Mounted Folding Tonneau Cover Solar Array for Maverick

Another negative for this product that I haven't seen mentioned yet is the issue of "combined functions." In other words, when something tries to be multiple things, it is often compromised on some or all of them. If/when the solar panels ever fail or are damaged, are you stuck with a "meh"...
  17. Okay, maybe there's something to this detergent thing?!?

Understood, and I wasn't replying to any point of yours.
  18. Okay, maybe there's something to this detergent thing?!?

Sigh. OP and the member you're replying to have Ecoboosts - and Ecoboost horsepower is rated at 91 octane. The engine can run 87 octane, but Ford does not say it will make the same horsepower, and it likely wouldn't. I would say that is "performing differently."
  19. ACC distance bars on 2025 Lariat - picture.

As HeyBales said, it's supposed to be a "shadow" of the car in front of you. The Maverick in the image has a shadow rendered as well - there's just no ACC bars to look funny under it.
  20. Uploading pics

Sometimes on my phone (not Android) it will successfully place one pic in my message and then try to load a second, duplicate pic - and it will show a progress bar that never finishes. If you don't look past the status pop-up it can be hard to see. Once you figure it out, you can just delete...
