There's a TSB/recall on this. Took mine in after getting same engine light/warning in November 2023. Dealer said it was programming fix under warranty. The warning had reset before I took it in for service - but they performed the recall service.

I would suggest you get a package of Cerakote wipes and follow the (easy) instructions to apply ceramic type coating to the plastic trim. You could also paint it all - but the Cerakote is easy, fairly inexpensive and looks like it does a really nice job.
