Thank you for the heads up - I read your comments (and others) on the Blue Ox baseplate late last night and decided to wait for Demco baseplate - which (lucky for me) is now available. We do a lot of State Park/Forest Service/BLM campgrounds on secondary routes - so it seems prudent to have...
Thanks for the great write up, photos and links Linda. This is helping me a lot as I start outfitting my 23 XLT Lux for flat towing. I will be installing the Demco StaynPlay Duo braking and the Blue Ox baseplate. I previously set up a 2006 Honda CRV with Roadmaster baseplate and Invisibrake...
Hey Linda - thank you so much for posting this. I just got started putting flat tow components on my new Mav and ran into this problem. I really appreciate your documentation, links and photos - incredibly helpful!
It is not wireless, it is a diode wiring kit you install that allows you to use your factory lights for rear running lights, turn signals and brake lights.
Go to etrailer web site and watch their install video for diode wiring for Maverick.
I just finally got my Maverick and all my parts to set...
Not sure how this is being handled - but I never got scheduling or production emails from Ford or notification from dealer - but when I checked with Ford customer service a month ago my rollover 22 Hybrid order was already in production. They gave me the VIN so I could check on it - it has been...
Thank you GREG -That is great to hear!
I was concerned that the high voltage cables and/or the brake booster might get in the way. - but I am only able to guess d/t not having truck to look at.
Which towbar are you using?
I might hit you up for some photos of your install after I get my Mav...
@BDennis
Thank you so much for great post and info - Looks great! How long did it take you to install redi brake cable and set up towbar?
Could you post pics of brake cable routing and attachment on Maverick?
I am planning to install Stay and Play system on my Mav for towing.
I emailed Demco (Stay and Play) to ask about operating unit placement. Tech/Engineer replied that box can be located under rear seat near battery and that there is 10+ feet of air line - should be enough to run line under back...
👍👍Thanks guys for getting prototype baseplates on your Mavs and posting information.
Looking forward to getting mine set up (of course I need to get the truck first -:rolleyes: LOL!)

Not sure how much metal is in it in the bright sunlight. I have a 2012 F150 in Dark Gray (I think it was 'Tuxedo Gray') and I love the color. You have to really work at it before it looks dirty. All my neighbors have commented on what a good looking truck it is!
Roadmaster already has an offer to provide a free baseplate and install to the 1st Maverick Hybrid owner who can bring one in and leave it for a few days for them to template a baseplate. They anticipate having commercial version ready a few months after template is completed.
