I can hear the tire store technician cursing you right now when he tries to put an impact socket on these! 🤣
  2. Black lug nuts that don't rust when exposed to road salt?

Wow! $61.74 before tax and shipping for 4 lug nuts! That's about $370 to your door for a full set! For that price, I expect a happy ending!😁
  3. Synthetic Oil (Hybrid Maverick)

I'm using 5w30 full synthetic in my hybrid. I work my little truck hard towing. A quieter engine is the first thing you will notice when using 5w30. When I'm towing, my engine is pulling 5628 RPM up a grade at 70mph. I change my oil between 5k -7k miles.
  4. 2025 Hybrid XL perimeter plus install security bolt woes

That's diabolical! I'm having the dealer, install my perimeter security system for less than $70. It's on order now.
  5. Oil change at dealer with oil additive?

Yes, I experience this with my Service Writer at Ford. I asked for "The Works" oil change and tire rotation and was invoice for a fuel system cleaner on my' 25 Maverick with less than 20k miles. They claimed it was a required service. Bull!
  6. 3800 lb trailer, 467 lb tongue weight

I stopped by the block supply company to adjust the tongue weight. It was just down the street from where I purchased the GEO Metro Convertible in South Carolina. I also aired up my air bags on my Nissan Altima.
  7. 3800 lb trailer, 467 lb tongue weight

Thank you for the compliment though I don't feel like I should win any award for stupidity. That's correct! Those little engines don't weight much. I have a few laying around. I once saw a paraglider with the three cylinder suzuki motor! The pontiac firefly got the turbo motor.
  8. 12v Refrigerator?

I have one of the mini fridge non-compressor units and it has served me well keeping my insulin pack cold for long trips. It works on 12vdc or 120vac. There are 12vdc compressor conversions available if you look for them. An appliance repair shop should be able to do the conversion. My RV has...
  9. 3800 lb trailer, 467 lb tongue weight

Welcome to the bad decisions club. I'm a former member as well.
  10. 3800 lb trailer, 467 lb tongue weight

You might want to shop for a hitch pull trailer that's on a diet. Shoot for 3k lbs or less. There's more than one fish in the sea. Towing at or above capacity increases the seat of your pants pucker factor exponentially! 👖💩🧻Good luck!
  11. No codes at dealer

Continue documenting codes and faults. Report to NHTSA. Remove the battery and have it fully tested. Clean the battery terminals and use battery terminal spray. Good luck. I've had to charge or jump start my Maverick Lariat hybrid AWD three times. I carry a jump pack and a battery charger. I...
  12. Freezing Display Screen

I've had the screen lockup and other accessibility issues as well. It especially freaks the Hell out when the truck powers down or while watching a YouTube video. It seems to me to be a cheap design riddled with bugs.
  13. Volvo Arrakis Wheels

You can easily search the aftermarket and keep in mind the Escape, Fusion and Bronco Sport should all have the same bolt pattern. Also keep in mind that fancy car wheels may not have the load carrying capacity of your Maverick. For the price of two new Volvo wheels you should be able to find a...
  14. Anybody run the maverick on strictly premium fuel?

    I run bargain basement 87 unless I'm towing then it's 93.
  15. Driving Through Water w/ Hybrid Maverick?

In really crappy weather I leave my Maverick parked and take my 7' tall F-350 with 37" tires on it.
  16. 2025 Hybrid - Potential Battery Drain?

I had so much fun standing out in freezing weather cleaning out my back seat to remove, charge and test my dead battery in my bricked '25 Maverick Hybrid! Not once but twice this winter. You want to give up that privilege so soon? Come on man, being stranded with your family shivering and...
  17. Suspicions about Maverick dc-to-dc charging operations

Manufactured in either late 12/24 or early 1/25, held in inspect for a week, shipped 12 days and delivered 2/7/25. Two Ford dealer's tested the AGM battery as good. I work 3-2-2-3 with a 52mi commute each way. It's close to two hours per day charging while driving. I often run errands as well...
  18. Anyone having Interior Lighting Issues?

I had my done light switch replaced under warranty. You should document the issue and look into that.
  19. Suspicions about Maverick dc-to-dc charging operations

My '25 hybrid is driven nearly 100+ miles daily yet the first day of 32°F the truck 12v battery voltage dropped to 6.3v overnight and the truck was bricked. Nothing worked at all. I charged the battery starting at at 6.0 amps, trickling down automatically until the battery was at 100% charge...
