I removed the block heater option so that I could get my truck built last year. There's no AC receptacles on my employers parking lot. Fifteen minutes running twice per night is negligible fuel use anyway.

After my '25 Lariat 12v battery went dead twice this winter in low 30's F, I programmed the truck to remote start at 1:00am and 5:45am which has kept the battery charged sufficiently. I'm off work at 6:00am so it is nice to leave in a warm truck while coworkers are warming up their cars.
