You would need a mirror with the camera, BLIS and heating element Or you would have to attempt surgery. Sound so could be a total loss if you screw it up. Have insurance replace it and pay the deductible? My insurance has a reduced deductible under certain circumstances. Like if I hit wildlife...
Good job, Sir! I bought a '25 hybrid Lariat and my buddy bought a used Subaru with no warranty because he heard they were dependable. My Maverick had a fender bender on day three and was in the Ford body shop for four months waiting on a little wire harness. The Subaru had engine trouble in the...
Oh man, Subaru owners are coming for you with pitchforks! 😆 My friend of nearly 50 years always wanted a Subaru and after helping him buy a Silverado 4x4 truck, he came into some money and bought a used older Forester maybe a 2012, instead of paying off the truck that I cosigned for, as agreed...
The life cycle of CV joints could be lessened slightly with the lift kit. No more than if one driver drives straight down the freeway versus another driver on curvy bumpy roads. The new '25 CV joints should take the increased angularity just fine for many tens of thousands of miles.
Just for clarity: The CV joint angle doesn't change with taller or shorter tires and a 30" dia tire is the Maverick's max without rubbing. Body height and ground clearance do change with tire size and also with lift or lowering kits. Stock tires are around 28" dia.
I decided to take my tires to 48psi cold and mileage again went up with no adverse driving characteristics. Getting 37+mpg in rain and windy highway driving at 60mph to 75mph.
No. It's my understanding that common compressed air expands and contracts much greater than purified nitrogen gas between -40°F and 140°F and is not contaminated with water. Pressure remains very stable with nitrogen gas filled tires.
I run premium only when I tow with my Maverick. I've seen it tach out to in excess of 5,100rpm pulling an aluminum trailer with an 800lb motorcycle on it uphill at 70mph.
Absolutely true! I noticed that my Maverick came with tires at 42psi. The door placard states 36psi max. I'm going by the tire max psi now and my mileage went up. My tires are larger than stock and have greater rolling resistance but hot damn do they ride nice and handle well at 46psi. Max is...
I would assume that you ignored the information about the break-in period for your truck? Keep an eye on your mpg if your obsessed with it but don't expect improvement until after about 4,000 miles.
Don't expect good mileage during colder temperatures with this truck. The truck uses warmed...
