  1. Builtright Molle Panel Bed Rack Installed

It provides additional points to tie down/lash/attach items in your truck bed. As it exists now there are just cleats in the corner of the bed. If you wish to secure items such as shovels, water jugs and the like you’ll need more lash/connection points. If you’re new to trucks, you’ll see...
  2. Builtright Molle Panel Bed Rack Installed

I just installed a BuiltRight molle bed rack today. An impulse buy but I think it will work out rather nicely. Its designed to fit on either driver’s or passenger’s side of the bed. And because of the screwy hole pattern that Ford used, they had to cut slots and oblong holes for the...
  3. Holy cow Batman. My Maverick has a terrible blind spot problem.

Add me to this complaint. I too have issue with the B pillar creating an obstruction in my views. I ended up with those same stick on mirrors. What we can discuss that everyone sits in the car different. Those that sit with the seat slid back will find the B pillar right at their ear. A...
  4. Mice in Cab - where do they get in from?

This. On my Prius, the cabin air intake is wide open to the crawling critters. The openings are covered by a plastic cowling to restrict rainwater, but everything else can get to the top of the cabin air filter. There is a whole diy for prius owners to install 1/4” screens to cover the air...
  5. Western Washington

Would be kind of fun to gather at the XXX Drive In over in Issaquah. Lots of different groups gather there for car meets. But it seems you need to schedule with the restaurant, a group can’t just show up.
  6. Already got rear ended! [Updated #1 with frame / underbody photos] [Update #2: 6K repair estimate]

This circumstance highlights the need for widespread 1st aid courses to be attended by us masses. Good Samaritans being the first to respond may be able to recognize life endangering circumstance and report it to the authorities. What I remember from my basic 1st aid training. When in an...
  7. 2023 "XL" Trim Changes ... provide your inputs.

There is a sticky on the Forscan section on the required switches and system settings and how to do it.
  8. Ford dropping AM radio from SYNC

Well AM was ideal for me when I had an analog tuning capability. It allowed me to tune into the Marinier’s game when I was coming home from fishing east of the Cascades, 150 miles from Seattle. You could listen thru the static to hear Dave Neuhaus call the game. A slight adjustment to the...
  9. Truck in but salesman now "On Vacation"

This is the one. Every employee, top to bottom understands this malady.
  10. ICONIC SILVER Maverick Photos Thread

They’re 235/65R17. It’s a $800 option on the Bronco Sport. But there are a few MTC members that have found them.
  11. Spray in bedliner in the burnt orange accent color.

I just figured out why I like this color combo. Because of this historical reference. GT40 baby!
  12. Ford Maverick Bed D-Ring - optional or standard?

No D rings on the XLs. You need to add them. You may also want to add another set of upper anchor points near the tailgate. There’s a sticky for adding D-rings.
  13. Iconic Silver with Bronze Painted Steelies

Providing this as a data point for historical purpose, I rattle canned my stock steelie wheels a bronze using Duplicolor. I’m lukewarm on the results. I switched back to my steelies figuring to put some miles on the stock tires as gas prices are sort of high. I did 270 miles on this trip...
  14. Has anyone downsized to a Maverick and finding the bed too small?

To provide context to my garden tool complaint see the photos. To the OP post, my dad and I both have Mavericks and do handyman activities for several properties and find this a minor annoyance. As to having another vehicle for doing tasks that the Maverick might not be the best for, I did so...
  15. Has anyone downsized to a Maverick and finding the bed too small?

I will be one of the few that will vocalize that I wish the bed was a bit (6” or so) longer. I came from a 6’ bed truck to the 4.5’ bed and have on a occasion have had to load up items that would have fit nicely in a longer bed but now have to positioned diagonally or propped up on the...
  16. Front speaker cover feels very cheap on my lariat

What they used on the $20K XL and can reuse on the Lariat they will do so. I figure the miscellaneous minor trim panels, carpet, yada yada are the same regardless of what price level. You all that bought upper levels got fancier components, additional capabilities and nicer touch surfaces...
  17. Can a constraint item be added to a existing unscheduled order?

Shoot, that’s one item I would not have added to my order in hindsight. Especially since its a constraint. Plenty of aftermarket solutions. I got my build at the beginning of the year, it was one of the units affected by the factory SIBL screw up. That recall, combined with it being a...
  18. Avs bugflector ll installed

It’s likely that my part wasn’t aligned properly on the jig they used to cut the slots. The distance of the slots to the curved surface that mates to the hood varies on my shield. What’s called manufacturing part to part variation. One of the killers of quality control.
  19. Avs bugflector ll installed

Like a couple others here I had a bit of trouble with my AVS Bugflector, the slots on the part do not align to the identified holes on the hood. I contacted RealTruck.com for troubleshooting who promptly took my info to forward to the manufacturer for a warranty claim. So far I haven’t heard...
